Hughes is one of the front runners for the Everton job. Great if he gets it as we won't have to pay him anymore. When was his contact with us due to expire?

No, apparently Hughes is "considering whether to interview Bill Kenwright and the Everton Board" to assess whether their ambitions match his own.

Everton waiting to hear where Hughes would like to interview them.

I'm sure Everton have far too much common sense to take Hughes on and will have far better options.

However, at some point soon a club will be desperate enough to overlook his failure at us and appoint Hughes - hopefully saving us a bit of cash.

I can't see why anybody would employ Hughes as his career has only moved from mediocrity to failure.

The only chance I can see him getting is if one of the newly promoted clubs sacks their manager and falls prey to naivety and imagines Hughes to be an experienced Premiership manager and therefore 'a safe pair of hands'. But no-one would do that, would they?

I actually laughed out loud when reading his interview on SkySports earlier, where he said he 'wouldn't rule himself out'.

Hughesy, take a seat...listen. The time has come for you to know that not only are you a shyster and a truly truly awful manager well out of his depth off the computer and in the real world, you also are, and always will be, an inbred, pipecock, shitnugget Chelscum cúnt.
Now fúck off and stop stealing money off the Club.

Shit but local

The best thing for us would be for him to get the job. Then we wouldnt have to pay him anymore.

This is the first time he's turned up in the media since getting the boot, must want this job bad. LOL Interview in the trophy room.

His interview in his trophy room is one of the most pathetic things I've seen in football. It's up there with the Michael Owen brochure

That's where he interviews prospective chairmen. He let's the ambitious ones touch his trophies.

Truesay...nauseating.

However if you look closely, one of the items in his trophy cabinet is a 25metres swimming certificate sponspored by Kellogs' Tony the Tiger. I think I can also see a cycling proficiency badge.

It would be great for us to think this story had legs. But none of us can see Everton being that daft.

I would be staggered if any Prem Club gave Hughes his next job. What club would offer a position to a man that spent millions, had the whole pre-season to organise his side and then made the worst start in Premier League history? It just simply won't happen, the best Hughes can hope for is a team like Blackburn sacking another Manager and him taking a wild punt on him.

I take a bit of pleasure that Hughes messed his chance up so badly at QPR that he is unlikely to ever be trusted with a top job again.

I just don't get the love for Martinez. Wigan are nearly relegated every year (not the case under Steve Bruce or Jewell) and they defend abysmally.

Surely there are far better candidates for the Everton job.

Malky Makaay (sp.) has to be one of the best young managers around for instance.

That job has Martinez written all over it. Martinez has struggled but it's no surprise when you consider that he is always having to sell his best players.

I work with plenty of Evertonians.
To a man they are terrified that he is even being linked with the job.

I just told a couple of Everton supporting work colleagues that Hughezzz is in the running. I also told them to stop bringing that bloody flag into work.

Well now he's got the time on his hands to actually start reading them. Though he'll probably get a member of his household staff to read them to him.

Tosser.

He interviews the author and takes a large fee before reading a book

I predict, after a bit of a manager merry-go-round in the summer, Hughes will end up at Celtic.

Then, of course, he will win everything and the perpetual Hughes w@nkfest from his cronies will continue.

Yeah Mackay is the most obvious direct replacement for Moyes, and I doubt that Moyes was the obvious choice when he got the job, having no experience of the Premier League at the time.

Just out of shot is the one book he should've read - "Football management for Dummies".
