The difference between us against Man U and Bournemouth against Newcastle today 23:17 - Jan 18 with 873 viewsA1079

I know to praise Bournemouth is now almost sacrilege but there were clear differences in attitude and approach.

- Bournemouth did not sit and rely on one goal and put their chances away
- they did not sub the players that were on top
- they did not stop running until the final whistle

What a manager they have as well. Has to be the best signing they have ever made.

Yep, but most importantly they are not controlled by the bunch of incompetents known as Sports Republic.

Poll: Who is responsible for our current pathetic points total ?

So, everyone now thinks that Iraola is a great coach who is doing a great job at B'mouth. OK.

But how many remember that it took 10 matches for B'mouth to achieve their first win under him and that was against total losers and possession advocates Burnley? Not only that, Iraola had all summer to work with them to instil his new methods before the season even started. His first win didn't happen until he'd had 4 months and countless coaching sessions to get the team playing his way.

If Juric achieves at the same rate as Iraola, then our first win under him would come in late April. It takes time for a new coach to get across his methods. Juric has to undo all the bad habits that built up under RM and get the team playing with a totally different level of intensity. That doesn't happen overnight.

Absolutely.
Juric is getting his ideas across and is still discovering what certain players can do, you can look at all the back videos all you like but still need to witness your players in action in various situations. He must know soon which players he can rely on and which he can't.
However he was forced to change when Dibling got injured, but putting Smallbone on instead of another forward like Archer, was strange as it took the pressure off Man U. He's learnt that his first 11 were good, but he's hasn't got much in reserve. The return of Charles may help.
