Corberan West Brom saints interested 19:08 - Dec 17 with 1667 views1teeminants

As we walked out the ground after the Spurs game my son said he wouldn’t be surprised if we went for Corberan of West Brom or Carrick of Middlesbrough.

Both managers doing well with no money as is Danny Röhl of course.

I'm keeping my finger's crossed for Danny Rohl.
Cant think of many poor German football Coaches.

What about an Austrian one?

Bit unfair maybe, based on what we've had since dear old Ralph!

I'm thinking Corberan over Danny Rohl, he's had more experience in the Championship and done well to get West Brom to the play-offs twice on a tight budget. He's won and drawn 66% of his games. 242 games 82 defeats.
Moyes and Potter won't risk it, the only others with PL experience are O'Neil who's shell shocked, and Cooper who doesn't fit SR profile .....but could do a good job.

I'm not sure there's too much of a risk for any new manager, as the Board have dithered so much as to leave us in such a dire situation, any new manager who fails, could point to the impossible job.

No sure though what the track record is for 'experienced' managers turning things like this around. I think Hodgson was good as it and Hughes did the business for Saints, but Allardyce and Moyes both failed to keep clubs ups - others too, I'm sure.

Whoever we get, the Board has already screwed us.

Whoever it is I just want someone that doesn't play the coma inducing god awful tippy tappy b*llocks.

I've genuinely been the most bored i've ever been watching Martin's teams and it's seriously made me question going to games.

In fact of my 40+ years of going it's been the style of football i've enjoyed the least, it sucked all of the fun, enjoyment and escapism out of the game.

I'm not saying I want route one direct either, but just something played at a speed faster than walking football, and where players actually tried to get in behind and shoot would be decent.

If we go for another sideways, backwards, snails pace manager I might genuinely consider giving up the season ticket
