Never done one of these, fully expecting a cricket score.

Nardi hat-trick.

I know its only a friendly, but this is such a frustrating watch. Every single time we make the wrong decision in the final third: misplace a pass, heavy first touch, overhit cross... Its just so irritating

We are very poor up front. Back control, static and so far well controlled by the fakes. Marti has some serious work to do. For a start we need to control the ball as it reaches us not knock it forward 2 feet every time.

The passings embarrassing, the kids were better last week against Spurs than this lot, friendly or not.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

bad ball after bad ball. I would be gutted not to win this if i were Reading. Frankly we have been very very poor.

The most interesting part of this game has been the frequent handbags.

A couple of hours I won't be getting back.

Absolute crap.

Yes, its a pre-season friendly, yes we're probably going to get three or four more in, but f-me utter crap without Chair.

Can we go out yet?

Meh, a bit shit and pedestrian today.
Their keeper made some good saves but we should be playing better than that.

Don't forget it's Reading's Cup final.

Our nonchalant passes to the oppo need to stop though friendly or no.

You're not wrong. They're actually sh#thousing and time wasting in a friendly!

Creating chances, breaking quickly and scoring goals still a big problem. Without Chair we look very pedestrian.

Fully deserved victory for Reading. We were okay at the back bar Paal's error , up front we were awful and Marti has some serious work to do. Forget the 11-0 , we basically find it difficult to score as soon as we come against reasonable opposition . We have little control of the ball, we try to beat one man too many, we don't cross well and don't move enough. Only a friendly but deeply concerning.

We just lack ideas when we get in the final 3rd. Chair is a big miss and we need creativity from our hopefully next signings.
I see Jonathan Varane was not included in Gijon's friendly. Hopefully he's on his way and a winger with an eye for delivery and a pass. Maybe this Kandil.

Nardi has had nothing to do other than pick the ball out of the net.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Most worryingly of all is some of the body language today.

Some believing their own hype a little bit?

Trying to stop myself being over dramatic as it’s a friendly etc, but we seem way off

Before people have a melt down just remember pre season is all about fitness and the results don't matter

Well that was worryingly piss poor.

Poor performances from Colback, Field, Pall, Frey and Lloyd and the rest not much better.

Disjointed, slow and low on quality. What have they been working on all summer?

Exactly. No injuries another 90 minutes who really cares about the result.

Paul Smyth limped off too

As said at half time hard to tell on a phone screen, but for me like you the worry is not scoring... or apart from the Smyth effort never really looked like it
Can't agree with Sinton about the Lloyd effort in the first half, for me that was a poor touch, not a good save. The header from Frey was tame, and the 2nd half shot from Smyth was again weak.
Like most it is a friendly and got to look at it like that. But we have Brighton next week, and if we do go into WBA not scoring in 4 games it is not great

We didn't even look that fit. So sluggish. Am not convinced that if you have no one capable of hitting a forward pass in a friendly that you will suddenly find the killer pass - or even a progressive pass - against WBA in a fortnight.

Only watched after the goal but it looked worrying. Without Chair we look very short on creativity.
Too much passing back and too many inaccurate passes when we did try to go forward. Is it any wonder we are struggling to score goals. Irrespective of who is up front.

Coming back from the match disappointed. Reading were the better side and we could not work out how to play their no pressing, mid block. Consequently we moved the ball at a snail's pace. Ho hum, it's only a friendly.
