Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:03 - Jun 20 with 1857 views | qprd | I’m a bit disappointed so there is going to be a bit of over reactive pessimism..... but the seasons over Let’s spend these last 8 matches playing shodipo (who played his absolute nuts off), oteh, Bettache, masterson, gubbins, kane, etc There is not much to be gained from playing hugill, Clarke, Amos and rangel, who will all likely not be here next year Can we go back to quizzes on Saturday?
Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:04 - Jun 20 with 1840 views | PhilmyRs | Mainly based on the second half but you do worry how we’ll adapt when Eze goes. You always felt that if we were going to get anything from the game it would have Eze involved somewhere. Not much that I liked about today. Growing a bit more concerned by the back 4 too.
Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:05 - Jun 20 with 1794 views | Hunterhoop | Dreadful performance. The only player who shown any glimmer of attacking threat was Eze. BOS got nowhere with his full back and Chair was busy but with absolutely no end product. Eze at least beat a few players, had a few shots and set up Hugill. Coming onto Hugill...dreadful performance today. Didn't seem at all fit or sharp. Couldn't beat his markers in the air. Couldn't hold it up. Kept miscontrolling it and missed a 1-1 with a miskick. In general, Barnsley looked so much fitter, quicker, and sharper than us. Our defending in the first 20 mins was all over the place, our passing dreadful, and are first touch wasn't good. They looked a good few weeks shy of being ready for league football. Very poor. Season over.
Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:06 - Jun 20 with 1769 views | bosh67 | It's a great shame. It was the game my dad never got to in the end as he died shortly after it was cancelled. I was hoping we would do him the honour of a win but it is typical QPR. I worried after we got hammered at Chelsea that we simply weren't sharp enough and today seems to have confirmed it. If Barnsley were ever going to break their hoodoo at Loftus Road it was always going to be today. What disappointed me so much is that it sounds like Barnsley deserved to win it and that must be the lowest shots in a game we've had al season. Great shame.

Hoenstly I think when Eze goes they will put Chair in that role, add a bit more steel to midfield when they slide someone in for Chair. But we are going to miss him massively.

I wonder why? Is that why Warburton and Hoos complained so vociferously against the June 20 start? An admission that the players didn't do enough fitness work during lockdown? That first half we really did look a couple of weeks behind Barnsley in terms of fitness and passing - that's what disappointed me the most.

Yes, good point. There may be something in that.

Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:22 - Jun 20 with 1522 views | Hunterhoop | Yeah, all the clubs had the same notice. If we weren’t prepared it’s entirely down to ourselves, and, if we’re honest, the coaching staff specifically. They track the players’ fitness and manage the training.

(I know not properly but football relieves my stress). I'm gutted but less stressed and looking forward to Clive's and Discos views. Looking forward to the next goal and wins, these last 100+ days have been really difficult. Peace and love to you all, we'll have our day and that day will be really special. I've had more than a few beers but Rangers are back. I can only celebrate that win, lose or draw. Have a good evening one and all and I hope the football has rid you of the same level of negatively as me.

Right I'll do it - Barnsley Match Thread on 17:27 - Jun 20 with 1470 views | ManinBlack | I think that is Barnsley's first double over us in 70 years. I guess it had to happen one day. Their win today probably dooms them to relegation like Rotherham and Bolton winning at our place didn't save them last season. Oh well two London derbies coming up... Which we don't do most of the time.

Possibly. Still not sure if that would get the best out of Chair though but we’ll see. I just hope that with all that’s happened we don’t miss out too much on the money Eze’s worth. He wasn’t at his best today but still a cut above everyone else which is a sure sign your going to do alright at this game.

Won’t be fooled into contributing towards the lads deferred wages, poor things, but hope they can cope financially.

As you say it's typical QPR but they have given your dad and yourself and all of us some great memories. We lost today but we've all witnessed so many defeats. I'm so looking forward to our next win for myself and all of us. We've sang Rangers are back countless amount of times, none truer than today

Based on the Bundesliga matches that should have been no surprise. With no spectators home advantage disappears completely. Barnsley had more to play for than us and it showed, especially in the first half.

Eze was so far better than everyone else on the pitch today that I'm very worried about our ability to creating opportunities without him. Going to have to reinvest whatever money we get for him very wisely if he's off. I'll try to hold off on judgments until the team gets a couple more chances to knock off some rust, but the cupboard looked very bare today.
