Good luck Martin Allen 09:15 - Mar 19 with 4000 views | PeterHucker | He's just been appointed manager of bottom of League 2 Barnet for the 5th time! He'll need a major turnaround to keep em up but hope he does because he seems like a good bloke.

Proper battered wife stuff, but then he always does so well there - well enough to get offers elsewhere anyway, which he duly takes!

Good luck Martin Allen on 12:53 - Mar 19 with 3605 views | Mark_Edwards | Ah! Mad Dog walks out again and again. After being out injured for a long period he decided he wanted to leave QPR. His first game back was supposed to be away to newcastle and he traveled with the team and it was to be his first game back to show his skills to possible employers the week before the transfer period closed. Martin had other plans and crept out of the hotel going back to london to be with his heavily pregnant wife and burdened QPR with his wages unttil the new season. It may have been good to support Mrs Allen (and correct) but he had been banging on about leaving QPR whilst injured and chose not to display his limited skills. Not a good egg really !

It's not that confusing really. There are 3 brothers, Dennis, Les and Ron. Dennis and Les were both footballers and Les was QPR manager for a short while. Les's sons are Clive and Bradley Allen. Dennis's son is Martin Allen. Ron's son is Paul Allen. Clive's son Ollie and Martin's son Charlie are (were?) also footballers. There's also an American cousin but they don't like to talk about him.

Stan junior ( he's 31 now)! attended one of those when he was about 12 in Basildon. Tony Roberts was the goalkeeping coach. Justin Edinburgh was there along with Frank Lampard, who Stan jnr nutmegged during a game😊 Best bit though was when we were coming away we bumped into Clive Allen, who at the time his wife worked at the local hospital, Lisa I think, not sure. Still got the photos, great end to a great day.

Good luck Martin Allen on 17:56 - Mar 20 with 3038 views | BrianMcCarthy | Seven points adrift with only eight games to go... bit early for a managerial change. Should have left it another few weeks, eh?
