Joshua v Klitshko on 22:48 - Apr 29 by blueytheblue | What.A.Fight. Klitschko rolled back the years, having looked woeful against Fury. Joshua raced real quality for the first time. Joshua faced adversity for the first time. AJ answered a lot of the questions about him in that fight, fought a mature fight as opposed to wildly swinging early. To have kept that destructiveness into the 11th round... |
Yep. What did we learn about AJ? - If he can be dragged deep, he will gas - but knows how to pace himself otherwise. Props for that. - He carries his power all the way through the fight - Hes chinny

They signed a two match contract. There will be a rematch, that fight was too damn good and showed Klitschko can still go.

Joshua v Klitshko on 22:57 - Apr 29 with 1161 views | stevethejack | Seen every Joshua fight. He's been strong and epic in every one before tonight. Tonight was different and against a different class of boxer. Tonight, it was character, getting back from being down and being good. AJ seems a very humble person too, a nice guy. Someone you'd enjoy having a beer with. Excellent.

Well, anyone at 17st 12 will gas in a fight over a distance, you're right, his pacing was impressive. That was obviously the biggest test AJ has faced and he came through it. Things to work on, sure... but he's no Frank Bruno.

I don't know, Bluey. I hope we get a rematch but I just wonder if Vlad will really want to face that again, at what, 42 or 43? Didn't know about the contract but I'm sure there's a way out, there always is. I can't see it taking place myself but I've been wrong before and I hope I am here too.

All heavyweights are chinney that's the nature of heavyweight boxing, anyway that was probably the best Heavyweight fight anywhere in the World for many a year, Klitschko looked like a middleweight out there tonight fantastic performance, but Joshua really earn't his corn and adulation, absolutely superb.

You could ask if Vlad would want to face a destroyer like Joshua having been outfought by plodder Fury... Like I said, if Vlad had been stopped early, he'd have retired. The way out of the contract will be to retire. You've got to look at Vlad's performance. Little of the jab and hold style, really impressed me out there. A performance like that shows he may not be world champ but he;s able to fight in and around that level. I'd say rematch, with a Joshua win and then Vlad retires.

Speaking of Bellew, given he wants to be heavyweight world champ (...) when will he be stripped of the cruiserweight title?

Yeah, I agree with most of what you've said but I think Vlad is smart enough to see the writing on the wall here. In hindsight, he should've retired before the Fury fight. I think he understands that, and doesn't want to end his career with 3 losses in a row. But again, I hope I'm wrong, as that was a great fight. (edit: and I'd actually pay to see the rematch) [Post edited 29 Apr 2017 23:22]
