What team would you Play ?

Personally I'd Go The Same as Monday and Then for the Walsall Game Look at Resting
Keano, Bunney, Rathbone, Lund, Davies and Maybe Logan or Someone Else

Would be Nice to see Thompson and NML etc on the bench tonight.

Just looking at the table remembering where we were after 6/7 games. Unreal.

Tonight was probably our worst performance in this sensational run we're on. A very spirited Shrewsbury side caused us quite a few problems all game but, for the most part, we defended heroically. Keane made some brilliant colossus-like challenges but my man of the match was the ever-improving Rathbone. He just gets better and better and never stops running!

I think the most positive thing about tonight though was the amount of new faces I saw in the crowd, and from what I could gather they were impressed.

Strangely I think we'd have been better off going in at half time 1-0 up intstaed of two. Shrewsbury had had their openings and the relative comfort of such a lead meant the game meandered during the second half at times, albeit with chances to increase our tally.

Taking off two midfielders at once seemed a bit strange at the time, especially with Henderson immediately put back into an area that doesn't suit hm one bit. Everyone appeared slightly unsure and all of a sudden they'd reduced the deficit and it was a case of seeing the game out. The midfield three were excellent tonight, Lund especially, and while it makes sense to give players a rest, removing two thirds in one go didn't work.

Still, another big three points and when you consider out start to the season, it's now 40 points from 18 games.

I won't say we were either poor or fortunate.

Will instead sing the praises of the opposition, not just Toney, their front 3/4/5.

Toney was excellent as the target man but it only works with willing runners, which they had in spades.

As Bolton fans are possibly thinking, the best thing about the 2-1 win is that others have yet to play these lot.

There were a few Leipzig and Bayern fans in the TDS.

Life is a game of fate.

Agree with a lot of whats been said. Not at our best but we come away with the points, and isn't that the definitive type of victory for really good teams?

Credit to Shrewsbury, they never gave up and didn't look like a struggling side but when you're down the fates are against you and our ultimately winning goal could be debated till the cows come home but the ref and lino saw nothing wrong so we can take it to tide against the times it's happened to us

Yep, a flat second half and players coming back from injury/illness given a run out might have cost us but in fact we looked far more secure once they'd scored and i'm liking the way we can see out games these days when just one goal in front - again, the sign of a confident and tight-knit outfit

Those players returning will be vital in the new year but we're in the best shape I could've imagined possible. We just need to get through January without too much boat-rocking now

No way our second should have stood. Debate around whether it was kicked out of keeper's hands, but Davies is offside.

Some classic Lancashire for the first. Useless get.

That was never a penalty Shrewsbury got at Gay Meadow in September 1997...

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Very much one for the dubious goals panel.

Out of the keepers hands, high foot, offside, all potentailly in play.

Like the look of Toney for them, causing us lots of probs.

Game not over but I'd rather be us than them right now.

I assumed our second was given because the ref thought their keeper knocked it backwards... which I don't think he did. I was astonished he gave it.

I thought we got away with one tonight. Once Davies went off Shrewsbury were more in the game. Our marking was pretty poor at times, but they didn't make the most of their chances. Very good three points. 81 points in the calendar year of 2016. To think there's some nerds claiming 2016 is the #WorstYearEver too!

At the time I thought the keeper had it, I still think the same on the replay. It just has to be in the keepers control and without hendos intervention he'd have kept control. If it had been the other way round we'd we a tad upset (fc United)

Deffo offside and by a good margin so all in all a shocking decision.
