I've read the OP five or six times and even allowing for the poster's renowned appetite for tortured logic, I still can't understand what the signing of a hymn at the 1953 Cup Final and its symbolic rendition at this year's final has got to do with the Oystons or our current predicament.

I'm not sure where 'without a whimper' comes from where I didnt see Paulco stood outside FL HQ shouting 'Oyston Out' with others.
