Ki on 20:45 - Aug 11 by Private_Partz | Ki is good player I think he can do a good job for us. In a bad team performance on Saturday he did not look any worse than the others. If we struggle this season then I agree it will be Ki and Bartley who get it. I suspect Jeff may come in for it as well as there are already mumblings of no end product. I think all of them offer us something but it has to be in the right formation with players of adequate quality around them. That is where my positivity ends sadly. |
I just think we are trying to change everything too quickly Jeff getting stick already !!?? Bloody hell not even I would go that far Lets go with 4-5-1 at United, the tried and tested so there are no excuses regarding tactics, formations etc. We need to play our best players in their best positions otherwise we will be murdered. Fabianski Angel Williams Amat Taylor Ki Shelvey Routs Siggy Montero Bony Subs: Tremmel, Tiendalli, Bartley, Dyer, Gomis, Bray, Sheehan We then need to get Fernandes, the French DM and another RB and I will be happy, possibly another Winger on loan. The thing that puzzles me is why have we taken so long in sorting these things out !!!?

Ki on 21:08 - Aug 11 with 1240 views | max936 | Ki would be better just ahead of Leon, but would you drop Shelvey for him? think he's more steady than JJS, but Shelves is more dynamic so its a horses for course's pick, neither should or would shift Gylfi either, who I would imagine will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Ki on 20:26 - Aug 11 by TenkosBlondeWig | So what is going on? Angel has lost the little pace he had and seems to be depreciating every year and getting caught out more Bartley is nowhere near first choice centre half Ki is not a defensive midfielder . . .and I am not the only one who is saying this. Its just my observation based on 35 years watching the Swans |
So Rangel not having anyone in front of him had nothing to do with it?

I agree with all that Tenko. The time it has taken is major issue as these players have to settle in to the area and the team. It can take months and with no preseason playing time it puts us at a disadvantage from the off. particularly as we have had such a big upheaval of personnel. And as the clock ticks on another day is about to close and no new signings.....

Let me go out on a limb here and say that in my opinion, Dyer and Rangel have been the best playing combination for the Swans since they both arrived. Frankly, I am disappointed when I see one on the pitch without the other.

Agreed - excellent combo. Tate and Leon always played well together too | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Nothing lasts forever though, players get older, slower and more injury prone, but the club need to recognise it early enough to bring other players in to mould, fact is we've needed a new DM and a RB all summer [maybe even in January] now we also need another quality CH, I'am also in the mind of us maybe needing another winger and maybe a Striker, if Bony goes in the last week of the window, we're left with Gomis and Donnelly and we're gonna find it hard to get another in.

I don't know if having them both on the pitch side by side gives us a depth we could be using elsewhere. It would be better to cycle them into Sub/starting depending on what is needed in the plans.. as apposed to having two lads in mid field who like to run and relay more so than defend and tackle. Respectfully, in my opinion, the big difference between the two -- which overrides all other considerations -- is that one plays more of a team game by protecting his area of responsibility and making more and better tactical passes.

Yeah, the other one only creates and scores goals.
