Shocking record on televised games 07:33 - Mar 5 with 3208 viewsdaledaledale

Is anyone concerned about our woeful record of televised game in recent years regarding the Bury game of Friday night?

Erm No.

We are due a poor performance it might come on Friday - It might come Tuesday v Torquay!!

The fact the Sky Cameras are there make no difference.

Lets go and enjoy the occassion there should be no pressure on the players they have earned this right to be favourites with the fantastic form over the last 2 x months or so.

Our record playing on Saturday's has been pretty average over the last 106 years, most of those games haven't been televised :-)

Yes our record HAS been absolutely rubbish! Under Hilly alone, when considering his overall Win record in Dale games must be very high (40%)??? His record in televised games is 1 win in 10 games! Maybe its just bad luck or coincidence but its staggeringly low. Hopefully this stat can be thrown in the bin come 9.45 Friday night - there's no reason why this brilliant new Dale team should be concerned with the past.

I might be imagining this but didn't we play Hull twice? Lost the first one at Spotland, then won the second one (also at Spotland) with a rare Paul Tait goal?

The only tv game Tait scored in was the defeat to Wolves in the league cup at Spotland. Infact it might be the only game he scored in!?!

One thing you can say is we haven't enjoyed the best of luck in Hilly's tv games, that 1st game at Darlo we played really well and lost to Kennedy's wonder goal and a calamity from Tommy Lee, Stockport fair play outclassed us on the day but we really missed Perkins who was unluckily sent off in the semi. Then Darlo did us again with another Kennedy screamer and an o.g. Gillingham just caught us in awful form and had a striker in form, the Luton game we missed so many chances, bury O'Grady missed the open goal, Birmingham we saw an awful penalty decision go against us and the less said about fcUtd the better.

And if we're counting the Leeds game then we can include the Southampton match- Arguably our two best performances in recent times.

If you are including non british tvv games what about the wins over Southampton away and Leeds at home

Our last TV game against Bury wasn't a happy experience. Given their form over the past ten league games isn't a million miles away from ours, I'll be anything but complacent ahead of this match.
