Young striker Alfie Bridgman was on target Pompey finished their week in Spain with a 2-0 victory over Qatar SC.

The match at the Pinitar Arena in Murcia was contested over three 30-minute periods and in very high temperatures.

Both goals came in the final third, with an unnamed trialist opening the scoring before the win was wrapped up by Bridgman.

Ronan Curtis and Ryan Tunnicliffe threatened early on while Alex Bass had his moments to shine at the other end.

Michael Jacobs and Zak Swanson impressed before the first 30 ended.

There were around 200 Pompey fans in attendance and they'd probably have been reasonably impressed with what they were seeing.

Sean Raggett picked up a niggle and was replaced by Louis Thompson, with Marlon Pack dropping back into defence. Swanson made way for Kieron Freeman.

In the final third Danny Cowley brought on his remaining eight substitutes. Clark Robertson was the only starter remaining, although he was then replaced by the returning Connor Ogilvie.

A trialist opened the scoring after being set up by Jay Mingi. Then Bridgman finished impressively to seal the win.
