Kruger worked for the owners, we represented nothing, indeed lying to us about Kats intentions, players not for sale, being deceitful about the clubs (non) ambitions, the list goes on... He was nothing more than Kat then Gao's bagman and was paid handsomely for that part time role. However one thing I will agree on the most talented Chairman or Ceo in the world will not make a scrap of difference if the owner has no ambition. Krueger V Levy is really Goa v Lewis...Cortese proved in a unique case of CEO having absolute power and funds what we could have been instead Kat dropped her bottle and the club we could have grown into will now not happen.

A really great piece Nick. I haven’t read so much sense for donkeys years. I don’t suppose it will change the mindset (“the owners and the Board are all rubbishâ€) of any of the usual contributors who seem to think that any owner has unlimited funds to splash around instantly and not think about the future at all despite the fact that we now have a classic case of how not to do it in Fulham... Anyway just thought I would mention the link below which may have passed most people by and perhaps had something to do with the timing of RK’s exit. https://on.ft.com/2IoQzsP

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Portsmouth Polls |
