The Daily Star Claim Van Dijk Has Completed Medical And Is Done Deal Monday, 31st Aug 2015 22:48 The Daily Star has put up a story claiming that Virgil Van Dijk to St Mary's is a done deal after the player completed a medical on Monday in Southampton,
This is a story that Saints fans will want to see confirmed by the club, the Daily Star goes on to say that Saints and Celtic have agreed a £10 million fee which could rise to £11.5 million with add ons, slightly less than the £13 million that the Glasgow club were hanging on for.
Van Dijk will join on a four year contract and will be unveiled on Tuesday morning.
Ronad Koeman has been chasing the Dutch central defender for over a year, initially trying to land him last summer before turning his attention to Toby Alderweireld and returning again to Van Dijk this summer, however Celtic were not willing to let him go till their Champions League fate was known.

Please make it so! God knows what we would have done if we hadn't got Ronald's connections but that begs the question; Is the Black box getting dusty?

Let's call it the Orange Box from now on if he's got the squeeze on Les.

Well if it is in the Daily Star then it must be true...

The ever reliable Daily Star it must be true its written by the Brothers Grimm. A business colleague of mine in Glasgow and an ex Celtic player although not working for the Club has said that in Glasgow this is a done deal. The equally unreliable Sky Sports news with one eye on the Sky betting market have said that a fee has not been agreed. A clue might be - is he in Southampton having a medical.

I really do not bother with the Daily Star/ Daily Mail et al rather the betting odds. Sky betting has the transfer to Saints at 9-1 on i e. a done deal. ( fingers crossed!)

why is this site quoting the daily star now? Perhaps not as bad as the daily mail but runs it close...

Good news indeed especially as the other team rumoured to be in the frame have signed Ramiro Funes Mori (River Plate to Everton) £9.5m so I am sure this will happen. I am sure he will become a strong addition and improve our defensive options. Wonder who else is coming in too?

Only 7hrs 23 minutes for everyone to make up their minds. Probably won't happen despite this deal is done nonsense.

We certainly as a club know how to drag it out. Neither outcomes will surprise me, but I like the way Everton decided who they wanted and just got it sorted.

Well they were right this time. Virgil has just signed a 5yr contract with Saints. Fee undisclosed but most are reporting £11.5m.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Portsmouth Polls |
