Saints At Walsall The Preview Tuesday, 1st Mar 2011 09:48 Only one result is acceptable As we get into the business end of the season, Saints have to keep focusing on the job in hand, in this case its getting at least 11 points out of the five games starting with Swindon at ending at Bournemouth, too many times have we thrown points away at the likes of Tranmere etc meaning that now we have little leeway for slipups. With Guly reported to have a hmastring tweak it looks likely that Rickie Lambert and Lee Barnard are likely to be paired up front together, according to the Echo this is the most prolific partnership this season goals wise, so it beggars the question why has it so rarely been used over the past three months or so when we have been struggling for goals. Once again we meet a side with the worst record, Walsall have that distinction in league 1, having won 5, drawn 2 and lost a staggering 9 of their games played so far, however they shouldnt be underestimated in that they are usually very hard to break down as Bournemouth found a few weeks ago, back then the Cherries won but had to hang on at the end, to be blunt though, this is a must win game and if we fail to win then questions must be asked. Our downfall has been our inability to keep concentration, take Saturday against Swindon, it turned out to be an easy win in the end, but worryingly we agains showed our tendency to be able to completely dominate games and then hand them to the opposition on a plate, Dan Harding had a great game in most respects against Swindon, but he was at fault for the goal getting caught positionally, on Saturday we turned it round, bt its been errors like this that have cost us dear. The time for talking now is over for Nigel Adkins, Saints fans dont care about words, all that matters now is that we start to impose ourselves on sides in a way that get points on the table and puts the fear of god up our promotin rivals.
