It's Snow Joke Wednesday, 24th Nov 2010 10:57 Things are looking decidedly whiter for the derby fixture due to take place on Sunday 29 November (KO 1-15pm). Weather forecasters have predicted snow to fall that day. Temperatures are already dropping and, by Friday, the outside air temperature is expected to fall to 2℃ during the day and freezing point overnight. That looks set to stay with us until Sunday, at least. That day is also scheduled to see light snow showers in and around Norwich, according to the BBC Weather Forecast for the area. It will mean a case of thermal underwear, long johns for those that have them. According to reports in the local papers, after recent years, when Norwich City Council and Norfolk County Council were both found wanting in the raod gritting department, everything is in place to make a better fist of things if this is as bad as the last time. Carrow Road has underpitch heating, so there should be no problems there. However, the Club puts saftey first, and if getting to the game presents any risks to peole, they will pull the plug, as is the proper thing to do. However, all theindications are that Norwich will escape the worst, East Anglia, too, so it is a case of hoping that the snow stays off.
