There must be zero money in the third tier of French football. So if we've gifted them £5m for this kid then they will be pretty much assured of buying their way into tier 2.
Which is fine from an overall SR point of view as they've moved one of their clubs up a level.
The French kid teenager we've just 'signed' from another SR club is currently playing in the 3rd tier of French football so is a million miles away from starting for our first team.
I would love to know how many millions we have moved to the other club for him.
The PL dwarfs every other league in terms of money the clubs get and it seems like SR are making the best use of our PL money, while it lasts, to fund their other clubs.
I would wager this kid will never get on the pitch for our first team but they will be eagerly spending the money we've given them this January...
With the utterly clueless SR in charge we will never be more than a yo-yo club meaning that every time we go up we will have a season after with zero enjoyment for fans.
Is doing this better than being an established mid-table Championship team like Norwich, WBA, Coventry, etc who at least give their fans an occasional goal to watch and will win more than they lose at home.
We can think of the PL again when the big boys f'k off to join the ESL.
I'm not sure that the main root of our troubles is not replacing a bloke who did no more than waste £10m a pop on the dregs of the Academy of his former employer...
Just listened to an interview with an Italian football journo on Talksport. Said Juric was always really friendly and came across almost as if he could not believe he was given the Roma job. (didn't last long tbf).
Characterised his football as a lot of kicking the ball up in the air and pressing the opposition trying to deal with it into making mistakes. Said he will need a lot of very fit and willing players to make it work in the PL.
Sounds perfect for our bunch of asthmatic dwarfs...
They are just relieved of their duties. They will continue to be paid by the club until they reach a settlement on the remaining value of their contract or the contract runs out.
Looking at the location of the water alert, I’m not too worried about the game. Asked the club comms and they hadn’t heard anything.#SaintsFCpic.twitter.com/YgoZkAgeU5
