I agree with the greater part of this verdict but I didn't agree the writers sequence of events that lead to Valery's red card.I may be wrong but I don't believe he was booked for the diving incident. His 1st yellow came as a result of the handbags issue, the 2nd was for a quite gentle push on an attacker just outside the pen area. The home crowd were on his back by then and that may well have swayed the refs decision. |

There are some veiled criticisms of the manager which in the circumstances is a little unfair. Your verdict also omits to mention the terrific influence both Romeu and Holjberg had on the match. there were many positives to be taken from this performance, Its a shame that you tended to highlight the problems .Its time to put some trust in the manager and accept that he might be more capable than you give him credit for. |

I agree with Montecristo, you are being unfair to Pottechino. He was an excellent manager for us in all respects. He helped put Saints back on the map and put a lot of smiles on our faces. I for one was very disappointed when he left. I am far from convinced that we will improve on last seasons league position. perhaps our football will be more attractive but that might not be enough to satisfy the section of 'glass half empty' fans who have been a little too vocal this season. |

I feel just a little sorry for Puel. We all know about our lack of goals and style of play. I believe that, given time he would have got it right. H was unfairly treated by the club and by a mindless section of the crowd, who, by their insulting behaviour contributed to his sacking.What I witnessed went beyond constructive criticism to downright abuse and did nothing to build the confidence of the players. Hes gone now but we treated him badly. |

At the start of the season having lost crucial players and with a new manager in place I would have taken a top ten place in a heartbeat, If I had known that we would witness the loss of one the most successful centre back pairings in the league and still enjoy a record breaking season I would be congratulating the manager not berating him. My only disappointment this season is with the whinging section of our supporters who by being vocal are giving the impression that they are a majority voice. Saints are in a good place right now. Keep the manager until he fails us until then lets be positive about our future. |

We all know that the show must go on and if players leave they have to be replaced. I personally feel that we should wait until we have a new manager before we plough into the transfer market. Whoever it turns out to be will undoubtedly have views and opinions about players he is happy to work with. He may also have an influence on whether a player wants to take a chance with us or not. Nothing wrong with window shopping though.
