I suppose my major point is that the hype around him is beyond a joke because he's black (mixed race actually) & liberal - reality is he is very average at best |

I'm largely against intervention but the way we're becoming more isolationist after the disastrous endeavours of early 2000's is just as dangerous as well.
Disastrous era in relation to foreign policy. |

At least with Bush you knew where you stood, the neo cons policies will live with us for a long, long time.
But when you consider what is going on he is like the polar opposite. His weakness has seen Russia encroach further into Europe and he has even stated they have no strategy in relation to IS.
We need a strong President right now, I don't mean he should be invading left, right and centre just showing some bloody leadership and tactical awareness. |

Interesting reading Sunday Times today on the motives behind Farage and the top of UKIP.
It seems to suggest that the UKIP party has been brought in to destroy the tory party by trying to shift it right and then lead to a split similar to the labour party when it had the militant faction.
It suggests that Farage might secretly want labour to win and lead to a break up of the party with the right leaving to join UKIP and the centre and left leaving to form a new moderate centre right party.
From this I can see a potential for PR in future - personally I'd love to see a one nation tory party come back in the true sense but I can't bare the thought of Ed Miliband as PM. [Post edited 31 Aug 2014 18:09]

I do worry for this Country if we have a sizeable attack on our soil.
Forget tensions then, it would see some serious problems in Towns up and down the land. The Country would shift a long way to the right I think. |

No it's not a woman or homosexual thing. But it is if you become a self obsessed idiot on there.
I use it to keep in touch with old friends and see if there's any gigs etc coming up. I probably post something every quarter if that.
In conclusion useful if used in the right way but don't let it become important ffs. |

I've found many lefties to be incredibly intolerant and extremely racist on many occasions they just have different targets to their soul brothers on the extreme right |
