I'd like to agree about the contract renewals but the thing is, because Nourry doesn't want to communicate about them, we may never know one way or another until players depart. The players you mention may even have had their contracts renewed already. |

You're so spot on, Dorse. Marsh, Bowles, Taarabt and many more were all 'a little bit mad'. Mind you, derangement generally shouldn't go as far as Diakite levels for reasons of in play health and safety. |

I hold my hand up as one of Smyth's detractors. We all know what his weaknesses are but, if the last few games are anything to go by, he's beginning to improve his final ball. He's a great character, a willing runner and a very useful weapon against most defences at this level. Once Dembele returns he'll see fewer starts but will always be given a place on the bench and more often than not get minutes. |

Arguably our most improved new signing, he's getting better all the time (sing along). I like his first time passing giving players a little more time on the ball, something our other midfielders don't do. I'm sure he'll brush up on his shooting and score a worldy soon. Hayden who? |

You may prove right about Nourry in the long term, but the issues with this CEO are not only about player recruitment. His communication (or rather the lack of it) strategy has pee'd off a large section of the fans and he appears to have shut down Cifuentes' engagement with this site and the supporters evening. That's control freakery which, in my experience, always rings alarm bells. |

Marti should get the credit for finding solutions to the issues resulting from Nourry's decisions. Some of the players too. If we had a lesser manager we'd be in deeper shit. "Nourry out" for me too. |

St Jimmy of Dunne is actually a 6' 4" shithouse block right back. |
| Forum Reply | Morgan at 07:40 22 Dec 2024
As mentioned elsewhere, Morgan has shown up the two Danes to be significant problems. Can Marti rectify their sub standard performances? He needs to because an 18 year old Morgan won't maintain the level he played to yesterday through the rest of this season. He's some find though so, can I say, well done our recruitment team?! |

"Stay out the pubs; it's not good for you". I wonder why he said that? |

I'm as delirious as everyone right now but can't help be concerned that we missed so many chances yet again. We should have scored 4 today, maybe more. I think we've hit the woodwork more than any other team in the league and we did so twice today. Perhaps now we're in a more comfortable league position the players can relax a little more and find greater composure in scoring opportunities. |

Not a lot of quality on show but I thought we were the better team. But, once again we don't take our chances. If PNE had not been given the goal on a plate, they would never have scored otherwise. |
| Forum Reply | VAR in the EFL at 10:54 21 Dec 2024
Exactly. Has there ever been something that's sucked more joy out of a game's most glorious moments than VAR? I don't think so. And for what? As you point out, to spot that a toe was offside. That wasn't what the offside rule was created to do in the first place. There can be few players, managers, supporters and, I'd even wager, refs that think VAR enhances a game of football. Why is football continuing to put up with it? [Post edited 21 Dec 10:55]

My last visit to the Aint Nothing But blues bar in Kingly Street to see the Chris Corcoran trio. Been there a lot and loved every time. It's a fantastic little venue with a great atmosphere and excellent music. |

Ned Zelic maybe. Played in the UEFA cup final with Borussia Dortmund then a couple of seasons later came to QPR where he played 4 games before going back Germany. |
