While loitering in WH Smith and thumbing through Late Tackle football magazine, spotted a cartoon of a certain giant killing in 1971. Worth a view, will bring a smile to your face, ( except LB ) ! |

Full steam ahead to go full time on attendances of 200. Presume there to be no more connection between the clubs, so the U’s cannot use their facilities unless some agreement already reached ? Under U18/21 to play future games at Florence Park ? |

Couple loanees, couple to asses fitness until end of season. With a mid table spot at present management have the luxury of what could develop for next season and not the pressure of the bottom places dogfight which we have had previously. But with an unbeaten run could look up rather than down still ! Young Lisbie the only commitment and he only used to academy football, so will need more development, unless hits the ground runnning a loan out possibly, but certainly puts pressure on the wide players for a team place. Hope they all do well. |

Extending the contract usually means the club think they can get more money 💰 before the running out of the full contract were after that the player can leave eg Chilvers, but a smaller fee is gained ( development fee ). The player becomes a free agent on conclusion and presume can gain a higher signing on fee depending on offers . |

Are the U’s team being represented by a U19 side only ? The age gap can make a gigantic diffference physically and mentally. Even within an academic year a player born at the start to one born at the end can make such a big difference in their development . U19 v U21 could be the equivalent to a PL club v D2 in terms of status . Have the U21 players all gone on loans ? |

Should have been done and dusted in the first half with two headed opportunities wasted. Not enough endeavour before Taylor came on . Ugly three points banked, something that sometimes is a requirement but vital in keeping positive momentum. Onwards and upwards . |

Morecambe face an uncertain future after owners Bond Group failed to provide assurances that they would keep the club afloat until the end of the season. The Shrimps are currently second bottom of League Two but confirmed on Thursday there would be no further signings to aid their relegation battle, with the ownership unable to show they can support the business until May. The club's board has reacted by publicly calling them out in a statement, suggesting boss Derek Adams and his squad were being let down. "The board wishes to place on record that once again the club has been let down by its owner, undermining the efforts and hard work of the manager, staff, and directors at this critical time," it said. "Bond Group has informed the club today that it is working on sourcing additional funds, but there is no guarantee that these will land in time to impact the rest of the transfer window. "The board of directors is carefully evaluating the situation and will make a further statement in due course." |

Where they go and what they earn after cancellation of contract is not are concern. Need to secure new clubs and contracts so effectively playing on trail anyway . |

Contracts cancelled, frees them to be available elsewhere, but on the monetary front guess they were both paid up in full. So no monies saved there. |

Gone under the radar somewhat, but the U21 defeat on Tuesday must have been of record proportions. Yes, a learning curve, but what was the factors in a 14 nil. |

Thought Tom Smith was resident keeper for this competition . Macey has kept us up in many games this season and should be applauded for his post match interview, honesty being the best policy. Despite being the better side throughout, except first five and last five minutes, a lack of cutting edge in the final third will see us looking over our shoulders at the league places below until the season is finished. Onwards and upwards . |
