Went to this on Friday and was pleased to hear a few U R'ss shouted when we got mentioned. Obviously pre-scripted etc, but that's what you would expect from a show such as this. A few funny stories thrown in (some of which have been heard many times before).

Perhaps not surprisingly, he noted how we were his toughest job on and off the pitch. Real mix of fans there Friday, and whilst there was the tongue in cheek booing from some, it was evident that no matter who you supported there was a respect for his achievements.

Far too many Ipswich fans wearing colours though for my liking. Theatre attire is clearly a different dress code in Suffolk.

Four of us heading there from Bury St Edmunds. A nice short trip followed by a few pints in the railway pub pre-game.

What other teams play in blue & white hoops?
at 08:30 19 Apr 2023

We have a local league club in our area called Ipswich Valley Rangers. When I was growing up they played in blue and white hoops, and I can only imagine that it was founded by a QPR fan at some point?

Any Suffolk fans with any knowledge of this?

LR atmosphere and new standing sections
at 12:55 3 Jan 2023

I think it has helped marginally to improve the atmosphere within that corner of the ground. Yesterday's lack of atmosphere was perhaps down to a few factors, such as back to work next day, hangover from the Luton game.

I sit in the lower loft to the left of the goal as you look at it and I think the lack of atmosphere comes from this area in particular. Whenever a chant starts in the corner there are very few of us willing to join in and therefore the chanting just fades away.

So whilst there has been improvement to the immediate area of the loft, there is still a library-like silence at times from the seated areas.

QPR Graffiti

Went to watch the World Athletics at West Ham's ground and was walking up the stairs to my seat when I noticed, scratched into the back wall, a large QPR. Made me smile.

Some of our fans...
at 16:18 20 Feb 2019

I'm not one to have a go at our own fans as after all we are one group who have a shared love for our club.

However, across the last two games (Wat and WBA) I have been gobsmacked at the behaviour of some of our fans. Against Watford, in the first few minutes, it was obviously noted by most people that a bottle/can was thrown from the Ellerslie Road aimed at Will Hughes. Following this, at the end of the game I was walking down SA road when a gentleman in his late 50s I'd say, walked straight up to a group of about 5 Watf fans who weren't causing any trouble and decided to push one of them and told them to F off. He then followed this by telling them he would take all five of them on, and here's the shocking bit... he had his young son in tow.

This brings me on to last night. Now I understand that we were obviously all so frustrated at the end, some people round me were kicking their chairs. One idiot though ( and this is in the so called family stand) decided to launch a bottle at the WBA keeper. The bottle in question was very close to hitting him. Once again though, this was not the most shocking thing to happen, he then turned and picked up his two daughters of about 2 and 4 years of age. What an example this man is setting, not only to his daughters, but also everyone else around him.

Now I do understand that we are definitely not the only club who does silly things like this, Leeds are big advocates of this. The thing that really gets to me though is that this will have some form of punishment for the club, probably a fine, which whilst it may not be a huge fine, it's not like we have money pouring out of our ears at the moment. So next time anyone considers launching something on the pitch take a minute to consider any possible ramifications, baring in mind the security cameras can zoom into every seat in the ground.

Lumley
at 21:32 20 Jan 2019

I cannot find any fault with Lumley for this goal. Whilst in hindsight he should have just kicked it long he was probably just following an order to play out from the back. When Scowen showed interest for the ball and then received it he had enough time to deal with it better than he did. He took a touch before stupidly trying to beat the man (which was just a schoolboy error). On that second touch he should have laid it back to Lumley who then could have booted it long.

Where I do find fault with Lumley at the moment is his kicking. I have no idea why he keeps aiming for the touchline? If with are going to kick it wide that is fine, however, it should be aimed at the corner flag; which allows Furlong or whoever a change to have a run at the ball to head it, as opposed to trying to jump from a standing point.

Safe standing to be debated in parliament.
at 16:39 2 May 2018

The petition even if it reaches 100,000 doesn't have to be debated in the commons, it just has to be considered for debate. If they really don't want to debate something and they feel that it is a waste of time then it can be dismissed straight away.

I just hope that this is a step in the right direction and one day the majority of fans will get what they want and the MPs see sense. I feel that there is still a fear among politicians and they don't want another Hillsborough.

Safe standing to be debated in parliament.
at 16:28 2 May 2018

After signing the petition for safe standing it has been confirmed that it will be debated in parliament. The subject is going to be debated on 25th June in the commons. Something that I know a lot of Rangers fans feel passionate about and want to see implemented. The club also backed the petition and if it gets through the commons it could be something that we will see at the Loft in the coming years, and this may begin to help the atmosphere at home games again.

worst away day?
at 21:25 25 Apr 2018

The away day at Leicester the year we went down from the prem and the next year they went on to win the league. We lost 5-1 and they were celebrating the whole game about staying up.

I remember the announcer at the ground even finding pity on us and getting the leicester fans to applaud us, but instead they just sung f**k off the championship.

There are certainly worse than Sherwood out there, however I would love to see sir les at the helm, the youth policy would certainly become better for a start and he has blue in his blood he will always want the best for the club and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does on Saturday

at 19:05 11 Jan 2015

10 games away from home now in a row, surely fans are just simply going to stop paying to go watch their team away from home. Yesterday with the argument between the players and fans I'm totally with the fans as we support are country up and down the country and there just seems to be a lack of effort throughout from the players, therefore we should fans bother paying the money to go see them when they can't be bothered themselves. I've seen them be a up for a fight in a match once this year and that was after the final whistle on Saturday. If this continues I can only see less and less fans going and if the run continues it may lead to boycotts away from home.

don't condone the pelters that he is getting as he does have more important things to worry about, however with the Airasia business that he has to look after surely he should have put the overall control to someone such as amit as otherwise that bloody arry is going to absolutely kill us. We going to keep on losing away and we will slip into the relegation zone and then get stuck there. Warnock was sacked for a lot less at least we were winning games away from home.

No fight no nothing
at 20:37 5 Oct 2014

As a rangers fan I have been used to sides in the past who were hungry, hard to beat and tiresome, I have been used to players who would fight for this club but currently I could name about three players who look like they want to play for the club, is this harry's fault for not motivating the players maybe or is it the fact we constantly bring in too many new faces and hope that will be the solution. Today I saw the team and thought every single one of those players is premier league class and most of them have proved this in the past. However I can't help but wonder what the hell has happened to these players players like Sandro who used to be a rock in Tottenham's midfield or Fer who was quality in the world cup. We lack any sort of fight or desire, we lack pace it takes us about five minutes to get over the halfway line something needs to change at Rangers because at the moment we look doomed for relegation, I wouldn't mind if we had a weak squad but were fighting every week but we're not we're going down to shit teams like West Ham with no more than a wimper, the side that first came up under Warnock would walk over us despite the fact it was a team of championship players this is because they had fight they wanted to play for the club they wanted the three points more than there pay check at the end of the week
