You need to understand that Notts County do not own the software. The software is owned by Football Radar an independent company.
Montague is part of the FR team. it appears that Swansea have given it a test run and come up with the Swedish player.
FR have discovered that their work can only make small rewards with small playing budget but could make lot more if it works at a higher level in the £1m -£3m range.
I suspect FR see the Swansea gig as an opportunity to project their wares at a higher level.
Andy Scott likes a star performer finding Gyorkeres Whittaker and Piroe.
Swansea have shown that even with excellent recruitment, it is no use if the manager does not trust their judgement and prefers Cullen and Jamal Lowe.
Football Radar is not owned by Notts County. The owners of Notts county and Football Radar are the same.
The owners of Notts County owners Football Radar as well but they are separate companies.
Swansea have given the top job full time. He cannot be expected to continue working with Football Radar full time but he can remain a director. Swansea will have to buy their software and gave already tested it with the Swedish player.
Montague could be allowed to work for Football Radar either with Swansea consent or with a few paid to Swansea. It is a mutually beneficial arrangement which can be worked out I would think..
He is head of football and also head of recruitment which has been a running problem for Swansea since Laudrup left. Marc Allen was head of football but not a recruitment guy and brought in two ex Man city guys he happened to know.
Watson was recruitment but never looked the part. Even apologising for sitting next to someone the fans did not like.
He will presumably be a full time DoF with interests and ownership in a football analytics firm. He will not be employed by the firm unless Coleman allows him to do consultancy for them.
He nay be called a "non executive" director of the firm which means he is not working for them but giving them advice and sitting on their board. It happens in business. He attends board meetings.
Presumably the analytics firm is entirely separate of Notts county but might give their service cheaply or free because the owner says so.
This arrangement could see a closer working relationship between the two clubs loans etc. Swansea Notts co and the analytics firm all acting independently but working in cooperation.
Swansea will have to pay for the analytics but with goodwill might be able to get it on a trial discount or offset against loans or player sales.
The Swedish guy is already signed.
This is promising. I have posted elsewhere about conflicts of interest.
An offence is racially or religiously aggravated for the purposes of sections 29-32 of the Act if the offender demonstrates hostility towards the victim based on his or her membership (or presumed membership) of a racial or religious group.
Police officers and security people abuse has led to convictions . The " aggravated"part is the ethnicity part making it more serious e g Welsh English African Pakistani Muslim Jewish etc.
"He led a team of 100, developing advanced methods for football analysis and focusing on predicting game outcomes using match and player data."
Why other than gambling would a company find value in predicting game outcomes?
You then have to be aware that strict propiety will be required if the football directors other job is predicting football results for a gambling purposes.
You are calling me an idiot and you are ignorant. There was nothing impolite about my post at all. I will engage with anyone and treat individuals with respect.
Brooks played for England u21 and was player of the Tournament at Toulon. England wanted him in their camp. He chose Wales instead. Each individual is different. There are no fixed rules. I have contested you quote given an example for you to assess and then called an idiot. Hey ho.
Health issues means he is struggling to be first choice for Wales
They are a useless Welsh committee that won the pools and could not be bothered to find the ticket. This is a drifting organisation with no one on the steering wheel.
They are there to be there. Fans owning the club. That is their role to be there. It is not to actually do anything like make money or invest. To do that it has to convert from what I have read.
They have shown their capacity to do harm is much greater than their capacity to do good.
What about anti Welsh chants? .I am Welsh and the chants are disgusting. So disgusting discussing it on here was deemed harmful for the charitable purposes of the website.
The general forum view is I should not complain. That means a from my point of view the forum believes "anything goes".
It is noticeable and strange that anti English chants are considered appalling on this forum but anti Welsh one acceptable despite being much more obscene.
I stated he should have been told he had played his last game for Swansea and told to find another club. Swansea would have picked up some sort of fee. More than what Low will cost with his development fee.
People told me he was playing well and his professionalism was unquestioned. Now they say he looks disinterested. He was due to sign a new deal before the fake WBA rumours hijacked Swansea season.
His work is done and he is free in July which was always the plan and Swansea will keep him match fit for his next move.
Even if he sat tight and did not play for 6 months on full pay Coleman would have sent out the message to the players that he was not bluffing.
Montague I would expect would set "his friend" a minimum target of points for the next batch of matches. By doing this Williams cannot rely on a favour. If Swansea average less than 1 point a game he will have to go friend or not.
It is about being pragmatic. Williams wore his Welshness on his sleeve and flourished. Others would play only if guarenteed a fist team place. The American keeper Myhill retired after he could not dislodge Hennessy. Dummett the same.
Brooks was a star at u21 but still chose Wales and belies your statement that all English born players would chose England. Each individual is different. It is easier to get to final these days via Wales not England for example because competition for England is fierce.
I suspect Scotland and NI saw the plan had ups and downs and blocked the move. The FAW would have allowed English to cream off best players using cash benefits.
Koumas, Crew ars Welsh player that gave been scoured by England but stayed loyal.
It was a gift to the English FA to poach the elite Welsh Scottish and Irish players. All the best players are in the Premier league and all Premier league teams are in England.
This plan would offer Wales the " best of the rest". Players like Wes Burns Nathan Broadhead, Ollie Cooper and Liam Cullen. We have plenty of this level of player. With a good manager they can get results.
