Whats the story behind this though?:

I used to like Joshua, especially around that fight against Klitchsko - what a comeback and an uppercut.
That was before he started ranting on he mic after every fight, throwing Usyk's belts out the ring, and saying 'It is what it is' last time out... I just don't like the bloke.
He has looked better in his recent fights, more destructive, but there is always that chin to worry about.
I hope Dubois finishes AJs career, but neither will threaten the all-time greats in the HW division, regardless of becoming a 3 time world champ. [Post edited 20 Sep 11:35]

Although I think you could consider a name change… Perryscope.
In your opening para you tell us that you don’t go to every game, watch the game online at times… the periscope allows you to view from afar, or a place of safety, protected etc…
You could even use an avatar…
Or I could just shut up and get back to work.

Does anyone know the system for developing youngsters at QPR?
I know (or at least I understand it to be) at Brentford (my son was there in the U11 until the end of last season) you trial to get onto their development program, and then once in, there are 3 stages – Development > Advanced > Performance – and players are only eligible for the academy once they reach Performance level.
Although whether or not they actually have an academy yet is still not confirmed - it was supposed to be up and running in the spring, but no parents actually know for sure. |

If you think Dykes is a very decent Championship striker, I question your credentials in judging someone’s understanding of modern football.
Nice guy, does a lot of work for charity, but in my opinion, isn’t a very decent championship striker.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it is a bit weird that many of you are getting misty eyed over him leaving - his goal scoring record for us the past 2 years has been an embarrassment. It wasn’t even like he put himself about and gave defenders nightmares, he got manhandled constantly.
I wish him luck, but I’m really glad we’ve moved him on.

Always tried his best, and I appreciate that he came back from being really ill etc
But, he was a donkey, and I can’t believe we got some dough for him.

Being the club that we are, and in the financial constraints we find ourselves in, we have to accept that we aren't going to do all our business in the first week of preseason and have all our new signings given the benefit of a full preseason.
We have to leave it a bit later, and therefore most of our new signings are having their preseason during the actual season.
Its frustrating I know, but I think we're not going to see this team click, as we all hoped it would, until at least November time.
I too am looking at the way we're playing at the moment and its a bit 'meh'... but I'm hoping that once the new fellas have had a bit of time to settle and get to know one another, and Marti gets his style across, that we'll be a fast aggressive nightmare for anyone we face - feeding Celar, and letting him bang in goal after goal.
I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing this team realise its potential. |
