I’m no expert, but buying players is a multi staff process i’d imagine.
He’s been here since 2015 so he might deserve credit for Eze, Bright, Dickie, Chair, Dieng, Barbet, Freeman, Cook, JCS, Field, and Paal too (amongst others).
Not saying this season or the last few have been great recruitment wise but he’a got a mixed record I think.
My instinct is that the problem is culture and policy which starts at the top. We’ve brought players with good pedigrees.
Maybe it’s not them that’s the problem it’s the club, as in we’ve brought good players and made them bad. [Post edited 22 Nov 8:43]

I dunno, seems a bit small fry compared to the outcomes of some of the recent inquiries if you ask me.
Not a fan of a lot of Prescott’s politics but pulling out that anecdotal example seems like exceptionalism to me. |

Couldn't agree more.
Coaches (and player targets) should fit the club and not the other way round. Lurching from system to system has created a sort of Frankenstein squad which doesn't work for anyone. |

Ok, but it’s often forgotten that Ainsworth also got some wonder results (Burnley and Watford I think) to keep us up and arguably without the resources Marti was given.
Let me be clear, it didn’t work under Ainsworth and I’m not throwing shade at Marti. I just think a lot of the criticism of GA is thinly veiled snobbery (not saying you are guilty of that) but when you compare results and take resources into account then his record wasn’t that bad.
