Really enjoyed that yesterday. We played really nicely and the continued development of Varane is starting to become really exciting. Morgan was terrific. The telly doesn't give enough justice to his pass to Field for the 1 on 1 miss, from where I was he gave them the eyes as though going to use Frey and switched it fantastically.
There's always some sort of downer, and Cook would be the last player right now I would choose to lose long-term. Just as we are coming up to those games like Norwich away and Watford and Leicester where you just know he would be playing the leading role in keeping the b***ards away from our net. Morrison and Fox did very little wrong but, along with JCS, we shall see when tougher questions are asked without Cookie.
Thoroughly enjoyed that twit Woodman going from laughing at the start of the second half, to timewasting, to getting beaten by Kolli, to faking it on the sending off, to let them get their tactical chat (get a grip, for once, ref) to picking the Dunne blaster out of his net. Suck that up. |

I'm incredibly glad he didn't make the mistake of his life in sacking Marti. Question is, how much did the crowd reaction sway him during that awful run, and especially towards the end of it?
Interesting comments from Marti today thanking "the owners" for their support in recent times. Nouury ain't an owner. |

Totally agree on the VAR. They would still be deliberating Son's goal now and would probably have ruled it out when there was no foul whatsoever.

Very sensible prices, those, and a huge allocation. I wonder how many we will sell? Difficult to call. We usually take a lot there and FA Cup helps, but can't see us selling 5,000! |

Don't want to worry you, but if you are approaching the Chair on the second circuit then you've taken a wrong turn in life. The Chair is only jumped once, on the first circuit.
I however, will die happy being a Grand National pedant.

Really pleased for him, great goal. His diving drives me insane, so doubly pleasing he backed himself and stayed on his feet rather than get the keeper sent off. Judging from his post-match comments, something Marti has been drumming into him. Considering our record against 10 men, it was a brilliant decision and goal by Smyth. Keep it up! Yeah not a great performance. Strangest one was when Madsen went over in the box and he gave a foul the other way. Would have been a soft pen, but what it definitely wasn't was a free kick to Oxford.
He also managed to be conned by our very own Tom Daley on almost every occasion. As proven by the first goal, you can do it Paul, on the odd occasion you stay on your feet. |

Great post. The loud support during and after that game on the 23rd for the manager when his position seemed in great peril - well we may never know if it swayed anyone. But it can't have done any harm.
Let's hope we keep it going, just as the posts 4 games ago saying "that's it, we are down" were nonsense, so are thoughts that it is all fixed now. |

I think we will have to agree to disagree, Parky. If you are now trying to blame Cook for Kakay's deficiencies, I can't go any further as I am speechless. One of the most deficient players in the hoops that I have ever seen....I am normally wrong on such matters but the fact he now plays for....er...um....maybe for once I am right :-)
Anyway, I used to mostly agree with you on Dykes, for the record. We couldn't half do with him now. |

it's a good effort, you've gone through an entire 90 minutes where Cook produced header after header, challenge after challenge, played a massive part in a clean sheet.
And you've dug up two incidents which are barely related to him, the Dunne challenge and Morgan getting attacked.
Was the executive box you were in a bit cold? If so, it was Cook's fault. He distracted the engineer just before kick off when he was warming up.
I mean, there's been plenty of players worthy of finding anything to blame them for over the years, but how you think Cook is one of them is lost on me. |

You are obsessed with him, which is totally bizarre for such a fine player. So Cook should have taken retribution and got himself sent off early in the game, that would have shown true leadership in your eyes?
I wasn't far wrong when I said you would drag Cook into any kind of blame, now for not protecting a young player in an incident that was nothing to do with him? I was in the Loft, behind Cook, and I didn't see it either. |

This is a good point. Credit where credit is due, I have been very concerned about Nourry, but rectifying a mistake is a good sign. Maybe being young he is more malleable and open to change? Long may it continue. |

Well, I don't agree. He was not only a colossus on Saturday, he was also a brilliant captain in my eyes - clapping and supporting Kolli, geeing up the other defenders and he was a Thou Shalt Not Pass mood. I watched him closely and I fail to see what you are seeing. I do understand he is not Van Djyk, but I think we should appreciate him while he is here. |

Celar has had unbelievable support from the fans. 2 in 22, with literally minimal effort and ability shown throughout, and the only notes of discontent were after his missed penalty. He now has scored in one game and his name is getting sung to the rafters.
I don't know what more you want from fans, really.
It's a bit like when Marti said that you don't often see managers having their names sung when you have a record like his this year.
I reiterate, nothing about QPR's woeful recent record is down to the fans. Nothing. |
