Since old Flynnidine has departed to follow in the footsteps of those who famously used to blow bubbles relentlessly such as Trevor Brooking, Bobby Moore and Michael Jackson I am hereby forced to nail this username to the proverbial cross and ascend it to the heavens.
Alas, it has been far too short a time to post among such excellent and admirable hobbits. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

True from a selfish perspective. But it is an honour for the club to have internationals and be represented at the big tournaments. At least the African cup of nations has been put back a year so Ntcham won’t have another excuse not to be fit. |

Me too. He does have games where he plays within himself though. It’s inevitable he will get fatigued both physically and mentally the amount of minutes he’s played over the last few seasons. Need to rest him every now and again to keep him sharp. |

I imagine for the Tory party he would be perfect in a political sense. Labour are usually the ones pontificating about race and womens rights when every leader they’ve ever had bar none has been a white male. Whilst the tories have had two women and they could soon have an Asian son of an immigrant. |

It’s disappointing to lose an obviously talented player but it shows the sort of business we should be doing. He cost a bit last year and now we’re selling him at much more. With Piroe and Obafemi etc also growing in value the future looks bright. I’ve no doubt if Darling has another good season he will also go for big bucks.
Let’s just hope it gets invested back in the team. |

It is certainly true that the world will continue without the United Kingdom, that statement is nonsense. And knowing Scotland and her people and of course Wales and hers I would have no doubt that both nations could survive and even thrive on their own.
But there is an awful lot of historical evidence that suggests that “stronger together” applies here. Before the various unions this island was composed of average run of the mill petty kingdoms knocking the shite into each other every five minutes and not making even the slightest impact on the world stage. Then we had a century of religious and civil wars between parliaments and crowns, Protestants and catholics, we had regicide, a failed commonwealth under a tyrannical “lord protector” and his feckless son which led to the king coming back. It was chaos. Then the Union happened and within an incredibly short time we were leading the world in innovation, culture and science, becoming the greatest power the world has ever seen.
Was this coincidence? Would it have happened anyway? Either way apart from the German bombings in the two wars and the French trying to invade Fishguard for some reason these islands soil has been relatively free from the wars that has ravaged other nations for over three centuries now. Our ancestors influence can be seen everywhere you look in todays world, from computers to tv to vaccines etc. all British inventions. Then culturally look at all the major sports, football, tennis, rugby, athletics, golf, cricket, rugby all have their origins here. And the industrial revolution spearheaded by great minds from all across the British isles made it all possible. |

Wokes and gammons could have an in depth discussion and learned debate about their own points of view, how they’ve reached that opinion and attempt to perhaps connect with each other and achieve some sort of compromise or understanding of the others viewpoint.
But it’s far easier just to fling shit at one another. |
