FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 21:47 - Oct 6 by _ | As far wrong as you'll ever be.... God, this is getting embarrassing now. Football isn't an exact science and on another day Lalana would have skied his chance and Nathan's would have gone in off the post. Bony's header would have been lower and Chico would have cleared his lines.... Then, and this is by far the most pathetic issue amongst some hopeless supporters, even though the game otherwise went exactly the same and how it did, they'd be whooping for joy and looking at the Champions League slots. How come some supporters are like this? That was the Saints 5th consecutive clean sheet and they're in the top 4 for now. At least their fans can acknowledge who were the better team, does it not suit some of you to do the same? |
Superb post Chris. This is the best part: "Then, and this is by far the most pathetic issue amongst some hopeless supporters, even though the game otherwise went exactly the same and how it did, they'd be whooping for joy and looking at the Champions League slots." That sums up a lot of our fans who see things in the most simple terms imaginable. I'm fed up of posting that a loss doesn't always mean a poor performance from us, but some are never going to understand that.
| You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help. |

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 10:51 - Oct 9 with 974 views | perchrockjack | Trouble is its all about points . Maybe hopeless fans should be banned for all games. Now ,apart from ripping the holybejesus out of them on here, is there another way.

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 10:53 - Oct 9 with 968 views | Captain_Sham | Yes and we more points this season as compared to the same games last season. Doh.

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 10:58 - Oct 9 with 946 views | Captain_Sham | Again, how we do any more than than perform in the games we have had. We have out performed ourselves and yet you are are grumbling because we MIGHT not continue to do so. LOOOOL

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 11:12 - Oct 9 with 937 views | perchrockjack | Well the grumbling has more than been challenged and so you ve done a good job. I liked Judy GARLAND too

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 11:53 - Oct 9 with 918 views | Shaky | I think there is little to choose between the two, although I feel Canas will be stronger when he settles properly. For me the much more important question is JJS or JDG. JJS has shown some pretty good distribution especially out to the wings. However, unless we are then able to cross the ball quickly the defense has time to organise and has been clearing with ease. Furthermore, if the cross doesn't come in quickly JJS usually hangs around outside the box, so he is a) unavailable for a 1-2 and b) doesn't challenge for the cross. JDG on the other hand is more liable to pass it short so he is available for a return pass, and get into the box where he can do some damage and/or create space.

FAO Mr Laudrup re: LEON BRITTON on 15:40 - Oct 6 by Darran | Anyone that thinks Canas is better than Britton is f*cking blind. |
I agree! As I've stated on here before Canas has so far shown nothing to suggest he is fit to lace Leon's boots. Leon MOM against St Gallan. Like a man possessed, when we had our backs against the wall he was winning tackles all over pitch against a physical side all twice the size of him, so don't even spin the Canas is physically stronger line. Hope ML realises sooner rather than later that without Leon in the team we just don't click.
