Drop Jones 08:52 - Jan 8 with 2537 views | BartRowou | Play Kennedy defensively and Tutte further forward. Either pretend Jones is injured and let him help out on the bench or admit he's been poor this season and have him as sub for the last half hour to shore it up or bomb on when others get tired. He's been the constant in a miserable, spineless season. We have to try it at least before we get cut adrift.

Drop Jones on 19:33 - Jan 8 by 442Dale | JK? Holden? JLAA? That's three, who whatever their limitations may be, can never be accused of giving anything less than their all. In fact, which players don't? |
okay ill admit I got that wrong those 3 do work their knackers off, Id probably add Holness to that list too, in the midst of all the doom and gloom I guess I underestimated that many of our players do still care. I was just simply saying that he needs to be in for the fact he loves this club and will always give his all, replacing him may have an adverse affect on the other members, that we may have lost faith in his roll in the team. People may point to the promotion year when JT and JK took over the reigns when he was injured, but for me he should always play, on monday he and JK owned the midfield, and they compliment each other very well. Maybe if Tutte was to be picked he (Tutte) could be picked at the end of a 4 pronged diamond formation, or in more of a 'free' roll, ala Done last year, instead of too deep as Eyre played him.

Drop Jones on 23:50 - Jan 8 with 511 views | Dale_Iain | I've been saying for a while now that at some point, we need to have a look at a Kennedy and Tutte pairing. It's obviously a tricky one because Jones is Mr Rochdale. If I met him at a bar I'd buy him beer all night until he let me take him home. To be honest though, he has been poor all season. But even that's not reason enough, for me, to drop him (although obviously it's a factor, not saying he's undroppable). Even when he plays poorly, you still know that he'll give 100%, that he'll still motivate the other players and get stuck in when we need it. Thing is though, we've been shite all season in every position. We've changed our keepers, full backs, centre backs, wide men and strikers, but whenever we've played with two centre mids it's been Jones and Kennedy. Kennedy, IMO, has been our best player so far this season, and yet we still find ourselves been outplayed and outrun in midfield almost every week. Lack of energy, lack of ideas and creativity, lack of pace. I believe Tutte is capable of all those things. Even if you don't agree with that, anyone who thinks that going with the same pairing every week will see a difference in performances is mental. Tutte needs to be brought in, we'd be foolish not to try it. Kennedy can't be dropped because he's been good all season. So unfortunately it has to be Jones to make way. Doesn't have to be permanently, just for a few games to see if things pick up. I know we're running out of time to experiment, but we're also running out of time to persist with a losing formula. Fortune favours the brave, Beechy.

Agree 100% and think Jonah will impact our season far more by coming on for 20 minutes or so when teams are tired. This doesnt mean Tutte is a better player etc but he would appear to be a better option at the moment.
