Is it me or has London Pride - the ale that is - gone to sht? I had a bottle of it the other day and I'm drinking a draught pint just now and it seems a pale and insipid copy of what it once was.
I thought the very same when I was back over the Crimbo!
They're really a property management/hotel company now. That site in Chiswick must be itching their balls to develop and once they've sent the brewery and recipe down the M4 to Reading or somewhere for Asahi to make, they'll be putting flats up double quick time.

Dunno what old Noel Coward would've thought. Seriously, I think over the years Pride has changed a few times but I still quite like it. I usually have HSB in a Fullers pub if they have it. Some pubs serve Pride too cold which kills it for me.
It might just be me being contrary again, but I used to avoid it like the plague and only reluctantly accepted a pint of it recently and quite liked it.
I still think it's a decent beer but not as full bodied as was. At home I like canned pride - stronger @4.7% than the bottles and draught and not as fizzy as the bottle. On a similar note, Lidl are opening a pub in one of their stores in Ireland. “We are you off to darling?” “Just shopping dear”
Think that Pride has been on a slippery slope for years. I used to drink it regularly at the CS but no more.I now indulge in Fullers 1845 in bottles from Sainsbury's where it is on offer fairly regularly. Anybody else tried it?
