Evening with Hendo on 14:19 - Oct 25 by SuddenLad | Was the payout made from club funds or was it made by the person who was responsible for the 'indiscretion' from his personal finances? If the former, did it appear in the annual accounts? |
The payout would have been included in the total salaries line in the accounts.

Evening with Hendo on 18:50 - Oct 25 by D_Alien | Absolutely right TS, and it's about empowering staff to do a great job rather than dictating and using the place as a little empire. The sad lives of those who thought they could use Dale as a way of bigging themselves up have been laid out before us Some are still clinging on. They're way out of their depth in the new regime, and it's only a matter of time before their attitudes and incompetence are found out [Post edited 25 Oct 18:52]

This quote is in reference to Roman Emperor Commodus. 'Cassius Dio, a first-hand witness, describes him as "not naturally wicked but, on the contrary, as guileless as any man that ever lived. His great simplicity, however, together with his cowardice, made him the slave of his companions' does this fit any members of Roger's Regime?

Yes, attitudes and egos have held the club back long enough. There's no egos amongst the fan base, plenty of individuals with differing personalities but we've all passed the test when it comes to uniting for the good of the club. There's no egos amongst our squad of players and the management neither, they have a bond with the fans that I've not witnessed before. There's no egos amongst the Ogden family, loved by everybody who has had the pleasure of meeting them, genuinely nice people. If there's attitude and egos in the Boardroom those individuals will now stand out like a sore thumb. A family that is pouring millions of pounds of their own money into the club won't allow that sort of thing to destabilise the club and affect the feel good factor. To achieve, all of us need to be singing off the same hymn sheet, we can't carry individuals who refuse to change their ways and fail to grasp the concept of treating everybody on a equal footing. The Ogden family and their people aren't daft, they will want to be surrounded by people with good people skills, especially when it comes to those who are expected to broker deals on behalf of the club. The dynamics of the club have changed, it's all about the Ogdens now and that's great. [Post edited 25 Oct 20:23]
