Hang your head in shame. Gave them the first by your insistance that we should play from the back when we aren’t anywhere near hood enough. Even worse is that you don’t see it and continue repeating the madness. The fans dont want it, clearly the players dont but hey ho.
No attack, no shots, negative back passing and a lack of a game plan. Subs too late again, shall I go on.
Only positive is at least we know that you are not our nxt manager.
What a pathetic spineless way to send us to non league. Absoluted devastated at that performance.

I listened to it. I also listened to Marks Hughes interview, he thought it was a game they controlled very well and were never really threatened. A routine win. Treat yourself to a listen.

At least you with look for evidence outside of your own eyes then. Congrats!
Yes but as we know managers can be biased and selfish in the fact they have to look after themselves. A player for opposition gains nothing from saying what he says so you have to wonder…it’s probably honestly and truth in what he’s saying

Were the players uncomfortable doing it vs Walsall?

You are reacting with emotion to a result not to how we actually played.

We played some of the best football I’ve seen under BBM, the playing squad that got relegated was significantly weaker than most in that division.

Keith Hill played possession based football and we had the best success the clubs had. Bentley played direct football and it was some of the worse we’d seen

I’ve only just come back on here after watching Leeds’ 2nd defensive masterclass in just over a week and see that there has been a flurry of activity on this thread! Not had time to read all the posts yet but felt the need to immediately respond directly to this one before moving on! So apologies if someone has already beaten me to it!

In response to one of this guy’s earlier posts Talking Sutty claimed it was one of the most ridiculous things ever posted on here! I found myself in complete agreement with TS until I then came across this gem:

“We played some of the best football I’ve seen under BBM, the playing squad that got relegated was significantly weaker than most in that division”

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I think it has been stated, acknowledged and widely accepted on here that that squad had plenty enough talent to have survived in L1 rather than being relegated if only the manager had actually had the common sense to look at the league table occasionally!

With hilarious jokes, deadpan delivery and timing like that irishdale2022 should be on BGT!

I can only conclude that you must be either
a) A WUM
or
b) BBM
c) Jim McNulty trying to defend/trust ‘The Process’

I wouldn't put it past you - now - to deny that we did lose 0-3

You're making it out to be a theoretical/philosophical victory for McNulty following a coaching manual at one of the most desperate times of our football history

I'll take Hughes' more robust approach, albeit he had the players to execute his plans. We don't have the players to execute McNulty's plans, Brierley excepted, and even he had a stinker due to the midfield press

Maybe you should read one of McNulty coaching manuals. You may see what he’s trying to do and won’t get so jittery when then players try to implement it! Ever thought the booing and the. “Get I forward” shouts are the reason max Taylor may look uncomfortable? Not the fact he’s trying to do what he’s actually quite good at?

He has got potential, but having the stuffing knocked out of him by demanding he play into the oppositions hands is the ultimate form of what i said earlier - cruelty

Budget massively cut which was already the lowest in league 1. Let’s be honest, Dale were always punching well above their weight in league 1.

But don’t let the facts get in the way of your own biases.

As stated the football was some of the best we’ve played, not the results. Which is obvious to see.

But carry on with your soundbite and don’t bother reading the entire exchange

Manager to footballer who grew up a Man United and was expected to play out for his GK “ I want you to receive the ball from you GK”

Player “that’s really cruel”

Max taylor isn’t the head it kick it CB you think he is, he’s actually got very good control and passing range

That's a bit rich, since if you'd bothered to read this forum after the shockingly boring home dross BBM had us playing, you'd not be making that claim

That "great football" thing was an impression gained from a couple of games where his tactics worked before opposition managers found him out

A bit like McNulty...

I'm sure those managers have read the manuals too, but then temper that theory with the reality of lower league football. Or do you think they're wrong too?

In the main the football was absolute garbage, even the stadium mice jumped on the mouse traps through desperation. It was months and months and months of sterile, boring garbage. He did relegate the team in case you forgot. I think Mc Nulty helped him with the coaching, you will probably know better than me though. Two peas in a pod.

The BBM comment is my own opinion, and wasn’t a reflection on anything anyone else said.

This comment I referred to admitted to not reading the whole thread and taking a snippet of what was said to ridicule.

So my response is certainly not “rich” if you are going to comment on what someone else has said make sure you have the whole picture.

As someone stated earlier 4 games is far too small a sample to judge a manager. And especially say opponents have figured out the tactics.

The point of my comment was and has been- the same things we were praising the performances for against Mansfield, Walsall are the same things that people are criticising on this post. You can’t have it both ways

And as stated I have enjoyed the football the past 4 games on the whole

Relegate a team with the lowest budget in the league during covid, with no fans.

So he met financial expectations…

Tell me why has he gone into manage Man City 23s if he was a terrible coach and been linked with every league 1/2 job that comes up?

Did you enjoy Mc Nulty's first spell as manager also? I don't know what was worse the performances or the interviews. He's doing better this time around but the Bradford performance was the stuff of nightmares and his performance was just as poor as the players. I include his post match interview in that also.

He specialised in non competitive football, under 23s is his level. You need to get to bed anyway, you've highlighted the faults and regurgitated things that would have been left in the past. Jim and Brian won't thank you, you've done them no favours.

It's been acknowledged that we were starting to play more entertaining - and more importantly, productive football - in those first three games

What any manager needs to be able to do is adapt during games if something isn't working. McNulty showed he either can't, or possibly, won't do that. So it's up to him, if he wants to have a career as a manager. Show adaptability, or die

I'm hoping he'll have learned from Saturday. We'll see tomorrow evening, albeit too late to save us

I'm certainly not laying any blame on him for our position - obviously - but the jury is further out on whether he'll make it in management than the sea at Southport

That's the top and bottom of it. And in our case, mainly the bottom

It certainly wasn’t the stuff of nightmares

You have to look at games objectively, we created chances didn’t finish them and struggle to break them down 2nd half

Gillingham at Home was the stuff of nightmares, we have nothing and tried nothing. At least I could see what we were trying to do vs Bradford

Ha Ha Ha

You do know how football agents work, don't you? How come he hasn't got one of those jobs yet?

Nobody said he was a terrible coach, but by his own admission, he didn't look at league tables.

His style of coaching and management is suited to an environment where developing players is more important than results and trying to stay in the division.

What was it - 18 home games without a win, which he wasn't at all concerned about?

Your cover is starting to slip, though, so keep going.

He seems like a nice fella but the truth is he has been picking up a wage for the last few years for doing very little on the pitch. He's been part and parcel and just as culpable for our downwards spiral as the rest of his team mates. He then had the audacity too criticise the supporters after the rubbish him and his team mates have served up this year. What a guy.

irishdale2022 is a mate of BBM and is Jim McNulty or a brilliant wind up merchant acting on his behalf.
I claim £5.
After the rhetoric tonight, I wouldn't want anyone with such a mindset as manager next season. Someone so very very self-defensive is only interested in the self, not the club, especially after a glass or two.
