Cannot get my head around that performance or system at all. Two goals from set plays and caught out trying to play from the back. No answer to their pressing, no bite in midfield and absolutely nothing up front. It’s as bad as I’ve seen from us.
Problem is, there’s not much BBM can do in terms of personnel this match, so there needs to be a long, hard look at how we approach the second half. |  |

Swindon have done a number on us in terms of pressing, we cannot seem to keep the ball for more than 10 seconds at a time. It’s made for painful watching so far; the ball just isn’t sticking and it’s baffling how often we’re trying to use Keohane as an outlet when J Smith is all over him like a rash.
I would say that all three goals have been avoidable, mind. Bazunu’s distribution not great either but then he’s got very few options on. |  | | |

20% of aerial challenges won by Dale in the first half according to IFollow tells the story.
If the tactics are to boot it long from the keeper to Done then we have a problem.
They just get men around the ball quickly; if we did the same and hustled a bit we would have a much better chance. | |

Architects of our own downfall again. Shockingly embarrassing first half, lessons not learnt from last year. Commentary on ifollow summed it up "matt & Tyler smith are stopping them from playing out and putting pressure on which results in rochdale not being able to get out and make inevitable mistakes"
For any team scouting us it must be the easiest of reports. Pep has brought a lot to the game, and fair play with the players he has had available to him.....sadly the infatuation with him and his style will ultimately do for us.
Dont care if this is negative, voted up down or sideways....lessons haven't been learned from last year and its inexcusable. |  | | |

Maybe. But so would deciding not to play out and having a midfield in a more natural formation. On that note, Morley is now central again in the Ryan role. We’re missing him today. | |
