Ive slept on it, I can see now he has trouble with figures, he can remember there was "no taxi" "seeing an elderly man" on his river bank trip. having a wee etc, but couldn't say how far it was from London to Durham, how far the castle trip was, or whether the hospital was 2, 3 , 4 . 5 miles away.
Me, I also have a trouble with figures, listened to his account, and come to the conclusion 2+2 is 5.

Look, I’m on record a not being a fan of sack them campaigns but if you’re trying to make a point here you’ve had a spectacular whoosh moment.
It’s not about ‘people’ breaking the lockdown - it’s about people who make the lockdown rules and imposing them on a nation breaking the lockdown rules. It’s Orwellian.

I can see the distinction that you raise, and revert to my question on process. As I see it, he’s been treated no differently by the authorities than any other member of the public.
