This is a bit silly really . Ask 100 Saints fans who is the bigger, more successful
and most respected club in Football they will say Saints

Ask 100 skates they will say Pompey .

Let’s put it this way ....ask 100 neutrals the same question I’m pretty sure around 3/4 or more would answer Saints.

Seriously 130 what do you think they would say ?

There was a quiz question on the Pointless TV show a couple of months ago.

The question : Using the letter P.L.A.Y.E.R.S, name an English football league team?

Which of the two teams had the higher number for this question?

I can't remember the exact figures, but it was something like:
57 for Portsmouth
23 for Southampton

I think that this great national TV program has given you your answer.

Are you sure about that?

Even using your figures we are still over a million more. Plus you had a bigger stadium for over 100 years. Plus you love to pretend we are lying about attendances.

Here's another great little question

How many times have the respective clubs had lower season averages than the whole Football league?

ie Which club has had more of these low seasons?

Poll: Is Southampton FC a big club. Where do they rank?

"Yes, Saints have dominated Little Pompey in just about everything except trophies won."

Southampton fans must cringe with embarrassment when they see your posts on here.

What is most cringe worthy is you moving the goals posts again.
The question was about Saints attendances, but you gear it up so that you can again use your painstakingly created lists.

What is most embarrassing is that you as a so called 'Big and Successful' club, not only played in the 4th tier of football, but pathetically try to use it as a positive factor to claim playing in 4 tiers is an achievement !!

So, you have had 60 years of recent domination, had 10 more years in the top flight, seen better football, been a better run club, been able to count non attending STH's, not had dodgy owners undercounting the attendance for tax reasons . . . . . . but

for some reason, even with these advantages you have only seen 1 million more fans over 100 years

I have just shown that this statement is nonsense, but for some reason you can't acknowledge it. It's a shame tbh.

So, if Pompey have been undercounting their attendances for 50 odd years at say a conservative 1,000 per game, that is around 1.5 mill.

Your club have obviously been over-counting STH's for about 20 years, at around a conservative 2,000 per game ; which equates to 1.2 million

We all know Pompey has been the one of the most corrupt clubs in the country, so the first figure is probably a lot larger, but even using those figures there is a t least a 2.7million balance required; so yet again Pompey win on attendances

. . . . . . . . . . .

No, nothing at all, the following teams all had higher numbers than Soton

Sunderland
Sheffield Wed

Stoke
...... and Swansea were about the same

Pompey on the other hand had by far the highest number of any teams beginning with P. It's all about winning it seems.
