Criccieth hasn't got a lot there, think of it as a village with a crappy high street. Cracking views down the coast if it's nice and a small ruined castle is about it, apart from a really good chippy. Caernarfon is alright, stay in the Black Boy Inn or Premier Inn around the corner.

Must be a wind up as you can't compare a village with a city. To the OP, what about Birmingham ? Stay somewhere like Jurys and you're very near to the Symphony Hall and several nice bars and restaurants. Dr Hook are there Saturday night if that's your thing. A bit too early for the Xmas market but that's ok as well.

Outcome not very exciting. Booked the Saturday evening in the Copthorne Cardiff with a view to find entertainment while we are there possibly Comedy Club, not sure yet. Unfortunately a weekend away is a few years off with young uns! [Post edited 31 Oct 2019 21:44]
