I like Baz. He certainly has stamped his authority on the role. Been a Strangler longer than Hugh now. Does most of the vocals and contributes to the writing with JJ. Technically a better guitarist too. The band are doing fine with him and selling out 3000 plus venues. I am just back from seeing them in the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool
Hugh is unique in his guitar style and writes excellent songs though. 'Mosin' is a prime example of his twangy guitar work. Shame he was such a grumpy vindictive buggar and sodded off in 1990. [Post edited 2 Sep 2019 9:41]

Got to disagree about Leo Sayer, yes he supported Roxy Music, but he certainly wasn't at the height of his career, he was just starting out.

I did not know the Patti was still doing gigs. Thought it was just a wedding venue connected to the Patti Raj.
Anyone know how to keep tabs on gigs there? Its a great venue. The Stranglers gig there was one of my favs. | |

Actually I don't. In those days I tended to support only a select few. I was right up Bryan Ferry's ass. See Darr was at the gig..
I saw Sparks, Pilot and the Roy Wood Band there though lol.
