A few interesting ones on there-surprised to see Stereolab so high up the bill. Idles will be good, Richard Thompson always worth seeing, Pigs x 7 are promising and Gwenno would be nice on a warm Welsh day. Would be keen to hear A Certain Ratio too-were a brilliant live band in the 80s.
The Eels playing in Wales....never thought I'd see that! I've got every record of theirs...the sad old follower I am...
Have they never played in Cardiff? Genuinely don't know as not lived in Wales for 21 years. Had 'Novocaine for the Soul" on a playlist recently. Good memories. I like E-an interesting guy

Pretty sure they haven't played Cardiff, but I might have missed it over the years (been abroad now a long time...) E is a bit of musical genius in my eyes. Eclectic is the best word and agreed..an interesting character!

I saw Stereolab in Bristol 2 weeks ago. Still absolutely brilliant!
There is a band on that list who are coming to Swansea in november at cinema & co - Penelope Isles.

Fair play that's a long set.
Value for money that.
Seen them so many times live...and as good as it is....with the Eels its always disappointing. His attention to detail musically on a record...never can get replicated live....its a let down. I have every recording from him....and have seen him live upteem times...and also his live albums...which are shit tbh...just one of those things. He simply cant replicate it live...

Yes he was, enjoy this Prof. very interesting
You simply cant replicate things live...13.50 minutes in is Railroad Man...a wonderful record....celebrating the old railway people of the US...The drum beat replicates the chug of the train on the tracks. It's simple...not difficult...but it's genius the way he uses that with the slide guitar..which replicates the low level horn of the american railways... Railroad Man https://g.co/kgs/RQVJXs
And unreleased song....Saw A UFO...listen to the orchestral work on this....and he never released it....a thing of beauty
My point is that some bands live just aren't the same....but...First Aid Kit...Glastonbury 2013...the BBC got them to play live outside their tent. If you want to see pure magic...despite the wind...its here

Pyramid stage not to my liking later on in the days. Miley, Liam, Janet, Ezra not for me. Prefer the earlier acts then move elsewhere.
Keane are playing the Acoustic stage late on Saturday. Well partial to a bit of Perfect Symmetry, Bedshaped or Spiralling in the raw, and I don't mean with my kit off.
