With Chirivella I wouldn't be happy risking £3.5m on him. A loan with an option to buy and I'd be happier. If this were to happen though, the question has to be asked. At what point does Jay Fulton get released/sold? He is 24.

I’d rather Fulton than Clueless as a DM. I’d rather neither actually - ideally we can bag the bloke from Burton - he’s a class act apparently. That’s still a weakness for us - a massive big Leon/Joe-shaped hole. Well, maybe not so massive literslly for those 2!

As for Clucas..you might be right..and depending on who we sign as a holding midfielder..he might not be a starter but rather a back up for the DMF/LB spot when needed.

it's been reported that Brighton rejected a 2nd offer from Hull for Oliver Norwood.

Hull's bid fell short of Brighton's valuation of 1.5 m.

We paid 5 m for Jordan plus Taylor (who I value at f*ck all personally)..so 5 m. I'd say many clubs would easily match that.

You think we should do a straight swap with no cash involved?

Fulham reportedly already bid 8 m for Jordan which we rejected. And since Riedewald cost Palace 8 m last year you might think this makes sense..But in reality I wouldn't pay 8 m for Riedewald FFS..he's worth half of that or so.

Absolute minimum to accept this deal is if they pay us 5 m in cash + Riedewald in exchange for Jordan Ayew.

Things are getting interesting.

1st of all..Aberdeen look like they want to price us out of McKenna and my belief in the deal getting done is growing less as time goes by.

2nd of all..the DMF/CMF signing is getting complicated now..We're going all in for 2 players in this position and we're only getting one of them.

Ryan Woods' deal doesn't have many obstacles unless some other club jumps in with a better offer.

The same can't be said about Riedewald. He's certainly not going down to the championship to be a back up. He'll expect to start. And from what I'm hearing he plays mostly as DMF/CMF rather than CB..Unless he can take over the VDH or Amat slot in defence he won't be coming as long as Woods comes.

Meanwhile..It's been reported that us signing Riedewald is a main condition for Palace to take on Jordan. It doesn't seem as they want to pay the entire fee in cash..Their limited transfer window indicates some sort of restrictions..so if Riedewald rejects us..or we choose Woods instead we'll have to find Ayew a new suitor..and quick.

I feel Mckenna coming here is more dependant on if he's playing in Europe or not.

I can also understand Riedewald not wanting to come here to be a backup to either Woods or Mckenna. But Palace is about to sign Cheikhou Kouyaté and that only pushes him further down the depth charts.

I said the same yesterday regarding Europe, but from his Manager's comments yesterday, I think we will be priced out of this one, hence the move for the Palace lad.

I was hoping the Palace lad would be used in midfield, but if we get Woods (fingers firmly crossed), and keep Clucas, then we'll be ok in there.

Yeah it has gone a bit quiet on Nmecha, he’s still training for City aswell I’m sure I read somewhere yesterday, need competition up front badly.

Exactly..that's why McKenna won't be coming imo.

Would Amat have stayed if he wasn't going to be a starter? Hell, probably he'll be made captain.

For DMF/CMF we're getting either Woods or Riedewald for 5-6 m (Riedewald's fee will depend on how much the 2 clubs value Jordan)

For the 3rd choice CB spot..at the moment we don't have any links..and we won't pay more than 3-4 m tops with add-ones..we might even go for a loan deal for some top 6 academy kid like Carter-Vickers or Miazga etc

Carter-Vickers would be a decent loan. I guess it depends who we manage to sign but if Aberdeen are really holding out for £7m+ maybe better option.
