Jorge Mendes working for Swansea? on 19:47 - Jan 19 with 6484 views | Wingstandwood | Could the Yankees have finally have woken up to the fact that it is indeed insane Kamikaze business practice to have a complete and utter clown of a failed roofing merchandise businessman wasting tens of millions of Pounds in a D.o.F role? Yep! The 'contacts' this club desperately requires are within the world of professional football and not within the world of wholesale roofing-tile(s), UPVC guttering and lead valley roll(s) cash and carry!!!!!! Perish the thought don't tell me 'professionalism' and all the competence it brings has began to infiltrate the club?

Jorge Mendes working for Swansea? on 20:11 - Jan 19 with 6367 views | MyFinalHeaven | If this is true then this is the best news to happen to this club in years. Mendes did absolute miracles with Porto, Benfica, Atletico, Braga, Monaco, Valencia, and of course, Wolves. It's about fvcking time we partnered up with him.

Put the useless cûnt on gardening leave until his "contract" runs out. He's done more damage to Swansea than the Luftwaffe.

If true, is of course they key phrase. IMO this is just even more smoke and mirrors, something to build a bit of hope, if it's true and genuine then i would have to ask why was our recruitment so poor in the summer when Mendez was apparently involved back then, securing Sanches for us etc ? Everything will come down to money, thats the sticking point and always has been, Tutu could have got us players but money was the issue,i don't see how it will be any different with Mendez, if he is on board then the Ynks and Huw have left it far too late to make any serious impact .
Jorge Mendes working for Swansea? on 20:38 - Jan 19 with 6155 views | swanforthemoney | We are already a corpse of a club. The vampire Mendes will just suck out all the remaining juices as he inserts his expensive players and draws vast fees. It's the very opposite of what we need IMHO. It's one of these where we will only know how much it's cost when the cupboard is really bare and we are scratching around in League 1.

However! What top players are going to come to the Liberty knowing that we will most likely be in the Championship next season? Unless the players come from France Eastern bloc or Africa/Scandinavia

The ones chasing paydays they can't get on the continent. Like with Wolves. If Mendes is lurking around then we must be spending money. May not see much of it on the pitch but his pockets will be full no doubt.

So we,l go down and then come straight back up? I'l settle for that providing we learn some lessons along the way.

whether they're chasing paydays or not, one thing that can't be denied is that they are all excellent players and that Wolves is by far the best team in the Championship. they're currently 10 points clear at the top. practically the entire starting XI is made up of Mendes players, and the manager is a Mendes client as well (Nuno EspÃrito Santo). partnering with Mendes is the correct move. Braga, Rio Ave, Deportivo, Monaco, Atletico, Sporting CP, Benfica, Porto, Lazio, Man City, and Valencia have all benefited greatly by partnering with Mendes. it's not Mendes fault that out of the damn near endless sea of talent that he represents that we chose the worst one back in the summer (Sanches). Rubbish. The thing is, Wolves haven't spent all that much money since they were taken over. But what money they've had they've spent very shrewdly. Not to mention our wage bill completely dwarfs theirs. Wolves spent just £20m this summer, which is like a pittance in today's game. By comparison Boro spent over £50m. The difference is instead of doing things throwing £16m at League One players like Clucas they've spent it on quality Mendes players.

Another difference is they didn't give their managerial job to Monk.

It is Mendes fault we got Sanches if he's working on our recruitment. You can't have it both ways. Amongst the stars he has some dross to pass off. For example he sent Anderson and Bebe to Man U. You really have to watch the guy. The thread title asks if Jorge Mendes is working for Swansea? Jorge Mendes works for Jorge Mendes. If Wolves got those players for 20 million, I'd guess Mendes still owns part of them, or he's taking ongoing fees.

Will be interesting to see what they declare as their agent fees for the season.

The Anderson who fergie picked over 100 times? Nobody forces these clubs to buy the players either. Clement would have played a huge part in Sanches deal seens as he’s coached him before.

First of all, there's absolutely no indication that Mendes is working on our recruitment. Second, the article states that this partnership has only started recently in light of our relegation battle and has been done to boost our survival chances. How you can blame an agent for a club signing a player is ridiculous. No one put a gun to our club and forced them to sign the contracts, just as Man U happily paid for Anderson and Bebe. It's not his fault this club decided to sign yet another centre midfielder when we already had 8 on our books, one who hadn't had a decent game in over a year no less. I suppose you're also willing to blame an agent instead of Jenkins for signing Emnes and N'Gog too?

Anderson also scored the winning penalty in the 2008 Champions League Final (and the 2009 League Cup final). For that alone Man U supporters will tell you he was well worth the price they paid for him. For him to lump Anderson with Bebe is ridiculous. He didn't get picked for Brazil while playing for Man U for nothing.

yes the Anderson who was picked 100 times in 8 seasons wasn't it. Are you genuinely saying he was a good buy ! He's still playing btw. Would you want him here?

Jorge Mendes working for Swansea? on 21:56 - Jan 19 with 5500 views | Spearchucker_Jones | Obviously not every talented young player becomes a success. Martin Ferguson scouted Anderson and urged Fergie to buy him, thought he had the potential (this being the key word) to be better than Rooney. Just didn't seem to have the required mental strength / application / professionalism whatever you want to call it...

To be fair, he did play for Man United for almost 8 years! He wasn't a flop.
