Pitch for Saturday 22:56 - Jan 17 with 5134 viewsrobtheb

Anyone got any info on the state of the pitch for Saturdays match?

With all the soggy weather recently, if the covers are on it can't have been worked on much since Hornets on Saturday.

More rain and sleet forecast.

Great day weatherwise on Saturday......just a bit cold.

robtheb has a fair point.

Plentiful snow and hail on Tuesday into early Wednesday.
A fair amount of snow Wednesday during the day. This was dispersed with lots of rain and sleet from Wednesday teatime onward , and it is bucketing (pardon the pun) down right now.

An early call will need to be made given the distance Saturday's opponents have to travel.

Best of luck to our valiant ground staff.

May I ask do Hornets train on the pitch, I was told once that they did, I do not know if it is true or not.

From that article it seems they are not expecting any issues with the pitch once the covers are removed.

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

A really good idea would be for the club to post pictures on social media of the Chairman, Directors and their respective families helping out on the pitch together with the volunteer supporters.

The club’s supporters would greatly appreciate help from club staff to remove the incessant noise from the tannoy before Saturday’s game against Southend United.

That way they'd be more inclined to get up at 8am and shift the covers.

Poll: Should Bury shop elsewhere for frames?

Thanks for that. The light/dark cycle of the seasons here in Rochdale is too complex to understand.
