Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I guess this means all of our January signings will be Hueberts....

The blame is starting to be directed at Huw Jenkins. Ironically, this sacking maybe the worst thing for him as some are coming out criticising the recruitment policy, Rob Phillips and Leighton James to name two.

This could be fantastic for the SCSA to get the message across even louder now. The press and media will now sit up and listen.

Cath Dyer have some bottle and say what the real problem is down here.

She either hasn't a clue or doesn't want to step out of line, in other words happy to stay in La La land.

The club expect to give fans an update regarding Clement and his team's replacements in the next 24 hour.

So who's going to be our next Mgr or Coach?

I found her embarassing - was she the best person that could be found to do that interview. I've done a few online telephone interviews and they are almost stress free, unfortunately she sounded like someone dragged off the street.

Odd this has happened at a time when there’s supposedly some bad press about to be unleashed about the sellouts and the state of the club.

Anyway. Thank you for last season.

A great opportunity to expose Jenkins squandered.

Yeah, he'll walk straight in to this team.

A composed player on the ball, capable of being deployed both as a defender and as a midfielder, and frequently as a sweeper, due to his vision and his ability on the ball. Regarded as one of the best and most prolific attacking central defenders of all time, renowned for his long-range passing, as well as his shooting accuracy and power from distance, especially on free kicks, and is the top scoring defender in world football; also an accurate penalty kick taker...

...hell, make him player manager!

Frying pans and Fires comes to mind.
We are in no shape to continue as a Premier League team and with the squad we have at the moment would struggle to avoid Championship relegation.
We are now on paper and pitch the worst squad in the league, and there is no papering over that fact. A new manager and two or three players aren't going to miraculously change our fortunes. We had Gylfi and Llorente last year, our only class players and we sold them to line the Yanks pockets, in what was a classic case of asset stripping. They sneakily sold of Cork in the summer and we now have no other assets left to sell. When we drop, they will pocket the parachute payments and sell the club to the highest bidder.
I've made my peace with going back to the Championship, but we need to have a plan to save the club from dropping right back through the leagues as we did last time we were in the top flight.
As I said, frying pans and fires.

Koeman would be my pick out of all the likely candidates. If we go with Pulis the best case scenario is that we will be in this exact same position next year. We need someone who can take us back to how we played before.

I may be wrong, but reading some of tonight’s responses to Clement’s sacking, I get the feeling that for some, the main problem is over. Let us all pause and think what is really behind the demise of our club. With, at last, a head of steam building up to channel fans’ anger about the way the club is being managed, it is essential that this is not deflected in any way as a result of a change in managers. The problem remains and will remain until the stables are cleaned and disonfected. Please let us not be sidetracked.

Think if we want "The Swansea Way" back we're at the point where relegation is just as much a necessity as a formality. Any new manager will be more concerned with gaining points than instilling decent football, as Guidolin and Clement both were when taking over.

Time to regroup and refocus in an attempt to get out of a Championship so poor even Cardiff look likely to manage it might not be so bad.

Great post. Unfortunately sidetracked is now guaranteed for at least 2 weeks. Unless that is some clever guy in the press can make the link between the hiring and firing of managers and a certain HJ.

Lee Johnson of Bristol City for me.

They totally outfought Man U tonight to beat them 2-1 quality football too, maybe we are looking in the wrong place???

Hughes - please don't say that, not even in jest.

I'd take Hughes over Pulis every day of the week. Hughes is a miserable whinger but his teams play good football, including Stoke who are now an attractive team to watch.

But I don't see any reason why he would want to come here.
