I really like the view that I've got from the Willbutts Lane stand. Unfortunately the sound system sounds even worse from here. There's an echo which means that it's virtually impossible to tell either what's being said or what's being played.

Pssst: Create a new account/username

I assume the chaps rod_leach mentioned above were those singing 4-0 in your cup final and 'you're **** and you know you are'

It feels like ages since we did well to get to a certain stage of the FA Cup before meeting a team that were obviously far better than us and lost 4-0.

Bit of effort to create a new email address etc but I suppose that would stop NB getting a semi every time my name shows up on here.

Wish I'd chosen a different username...

Aye, that's the ones. I just don't get how folk can spend the whole half staring at the opposition fans, rather than the football, abusing them, then wetting their pants with joy when they get a reaction from one of them. Tiny minds I guess.

Because I'm bored of you, I'm trying to get my point across to stop you wasting your time and you just don't listen.

"It's fine for you to insult people don't forget'.

Once again, you haven't taken in anything I just wrote so I will say it one last time.

Your words do not insult me, simple as that, yet you drag me into it every single time the drum is mentioned, it's just boring and a complete waste of your time.

Give it a rest, give your fingers a rest and move on to trying to insult someone who cares.

You keep replying?Whip the drum out give it a few belts and lose some of the obvious frustration

It's still a tin pot idea regardless of who thought of it

I went into Wilbutt's today and so had the misfortune to spend the 2nd half with the amoebic brained individuals who congregate around the drum. How these people manage to dress themselves every day surprises me. Ruined it for me.

Prick !!!!

I'd rather see kids spending their money at Rochdale enjoying themselves, then sat in pub being arm chairs fans supporting United etc etc.

They are 15/16 years kids and for you to come on here to slag them off is disgraceful and snobbish.

I wonder if you would say it to their faces what you said on this website.

Of course I wouldn't because their only response to criticism is to offer violence and intimidation, as shown by your 'prick' reply. And don't give it the 15/16 year old line. They are the sheep obeying a few sad adults who are seriously deficient in many areas. A bloke in front of me asked them to sit down and was greeted with derision. If what they bring to the club is what I witnessed yesterday, I'd rather they spent their time elsewhere. Knob.

If you think calling you a prick insinuates violence or intimidation,my God you need to live a little. These kids with the drum have cause no trouble, cause no treat to away fans so give it rest.
Tell you what next home game sit behide them and let see how much trouble they cause.

If you're old enough to have gone to matches in the 60s, werent you one of the many that took a wooden rattle with you to add to the atmosphere? Being in earshot of one could have been annoying to some fans but it was accepted. I suggest you lighten up and appreciate the drummer and his mates are only trying to generate some much needed atmosphere.

I was sat behind them. Their whole raison d'etre was intimidation and trouble. They weren't interested in supporting the lads in blue as much it was willy waving and aggresion towards the Bromley fans. Small minds, tiny brains and very inadequate masculinily.

You are talking utter tosh.

Most of the songs they sung where actually about the players, or did you only chose to hear the few they sung towards the Bromley fans who where doing the same from time to time??

There was more Bromley fans pointing and gesturing towards the home support much more than the other way around, but who cares, that's football.

Have you not noticed what people are doing in the Pearl Street nowadays old chap? Kids are wanting to go and sit closer to the drum for the atmosphere, there are families that join in with the songs, the atmosphere has got a lot better compared to recent seasons.

I actually quite enjoy going to Spotland now because at least some fans have the energy to get behind the team unlike in days gone by when its been as quiet as a library.

Poll: Bottomley...

Willbutts Lane stand is where the main camera is set up so can't really be seen on pictures, main stand straight opposite. Standing area behind the goal is The Sandy Lane end. The empty end at the weekend is the Pearl Street stand.

Good for you and them. I'll be back in the main stand next game, probably along with the others around me who didn't enjoy the second half much either.

I was humming the Benny Hill tune to myself at 2:59 as the young uns decided where to sit.

On a positive note for them however, i overheard a couple of conversations between a couple of them with Bromley fans as they walked away from the ground. They displayed RAFC fan true virtues of ‘unlucky, well done for supporting your local team, good luck for the future’ type comments. Lovely to hear.

I sat next to them first half, they didn't annoy or intimidate me, the Bromley fan that called me a northern c*** outside was more annoying especially as I'm from Sussex

My season ticket is in the main stand and some of the moaning and unconstructive criticism of the players sometimes get's on my nerves but each to their own. Was nice to go in the Willbutt's and see young lads getting behind the team, and as for trying to get a reaction from the Bromley end it looked to me like good natured football banter. Also the guy who threatened the Sandy Drummer ought to be ashamed of himself if that's what has happened.

Yes I had a switch of sides, it was nice to have a better atmosphere, but I won't be repeating the move
