The bit from Llandrindod is testing but ,there again, a measure of your driving skill.
Newtown is roughly half way.
From ruabon it's a good fast run and m53 is a fast motorway . No cameras ,few police .
Five hours ? Lol
I do hope nobody is driving up the M6
Staffs and Cheshire bits are suffering long delays with roadworks.
Could try ...over to Hay , then Leominster ,up A49 to A41 then 53
I'm driving up, was just going to go straight up the M5/M6. Is it that bad? especially as it will be early on a Saturday. Always found it quicker than cutting through Wales

An intimidating place, wonder if we can handle that atmosphere. If we throw in the towel, will be like watching the Christians in the Collusium at Rome.
Was that a serious post?
Anfield is far from intimidating. Maybe if your a Man United player but whenever we've been there it's been as quiet as anything. Have you been to Anfield?
In all honesty. I don't see any ground in this division as intimidating.

Genetically, paedophiles have more genes in common with crabs than they do with you and me. Now that is scientific fact. There's no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact.

Sadly including ours. Stoke used to be ok and Upton. Can't think of any others.

...if travelling from Swansea early ,you ll make it in four hours ,tops.
Newtown is busy and there are roadworks at Dolfor but it's not too bad
Take short cut off 483 beulah and new bridge on Wye. It brings you out other side of Llandrindod a avoiding town centre
Road from Wallasey tunnel to anfield is clear.
Correct money for tunnel saves time £ 1.70
Liverpool Academy ...look it up.. Was a fiver for the Rugby League game , and pub nearby the Globe is welcoming of away fans. Bit rough but safe
Travelling up Friday evening so definitely avoiding motorway. Does same route apply Friday? Any speed traps to be aware of?. Staying at the docklands.presuming this is first exit after tunnel and right along the main road?.Been a few years since I drove up. Cheers in advance.

When exiting Wallasey tunnel, head for airport / Albert Dock
When you exit tunnel, don't fork left unless you re heading for ground.
Look for Albert Dock Airport Widnes signs.
Road loops around to the left as you come out of tunnel then ensure you get into the right hand lane or you ll be fooked.
Don't know where you re staying but check out the newly renovated Baltic pub area. Shaped like a ship on same side as Police HQ . Fill your boots.
The city is truly buzzing with energy
If you can , and have time, check out the Slaughterhouse pub near the Courts
Too many eating places to mention .
You ll find the people are ok..go by, cocky, cheeky, friendly, annoying as feck, aggressive, loud, funny and very street wise. It's not a place for the effete or faint hearted.
If you have time...just an hour, go to St George's Hall and check out the underground Old courts and holding cells . There is also the world renowned main hall that will take your breath away. It's free
Travelling down through Wrexham,Newtown,Builth,Brecon when it's dark, raining and misty is about the worse driving experience there is....truly horrible.

Yeah those were the only two that first came to mind for me as well. I think West Ham have really struggled with the move to the new place. Upton Park used to have something about it.
