It'll be a big call if Hill picks McGahey ahead of Keane - if he's fit

Whilst McGahey has done well in the home fixtures since Keane's injury, a tough away game might just require the extra experience Keane brings to the defence

And yes, I'm remembering how he started against Millwall a few weeks back

Depending on fitness I can see both Davies and Hendo starting and us changing to a different tactical set up. Gillingham are a different style of team to Swindon and Walsall and its away.

But we'll see it's not easy to change a winning team.

Oh and think Bunney will come back in. Tanser did well but not to the level that Bunney has been recently.

From a man management and freshness point of view I can see Tanser starting today.

SD in for JT, again just because JT has played 3 games in 8 days.

RNL deserves to start, so the only way I can see Hendo starting is if Olly is rested with it being a tough away game.

As has been previously said, can't second guess Hilly so I expect to be 100% wrong!

In 19 league games this season, Gillingham haven't kept a clean sheet (but have only failed to score twice).

Dale's record: 7 clean sheets, 6 failed to score.

The bookies' odds on a 0-0 result are about 9/1.

Tricky game, they've got a potent (on paper) attack of Cody McDonald and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas as well as the annoying Bradley Dack who ran the show for them at their place last season. Seems that they ship a few goals though, so I reckon either 2-2 or 3-2 'Dale today. The first goal will be crucial and if we can get our noses in front and start to play with the same confidence of late then I can see us winning.

Nobody really deserves to be dropped after Tuesday but I expect a few changes just to keep the squad fresh. It's nice to have options such as Hendo, Bunney, Davies and Keane (if fit) who can be bought into the team.
