Agreed - big risk after all this time but trailer looks pretty good. Fact that Danny Boyle & most/all actors have come back hopefully means it's going to live up to expectations. Original is one of those films that has stayed with me thanks largely to soundtrack. Begbie still looks a lunatic...
Outside of seeing Dennis Hopper reanimate on film to open the valve on his Nitrous to tastefully stick a bit of blue velvet up isabelle rossellini's vag , Seeing them back together in this trailer has me higher than oakenfolds coutryard in 1997 on 6 micky mills.
when renton says to spud ..'I missed you too Spud..' That tore my heart out and slingshot it around the kuiper belt.

Really disappointed about this film. Spent hours standing on a bridge at Willesden Junction in my safety first yellow anorak, so I can assure you this movie is absolute crap.

Likewise - I thought it was a film about Northwick Park, where the old Great Central line from Marylebone crossed over a bridge on the LMS line from Euston. Used to be a crazy place for Duchesses, Taper Scots, Black Fives, Staniers, Dub Dees steaming towards Watford, with Flying Pigs, Springboks, Thomson Tanks and Bugs belting over the bridge towards Nottingham and Sheffield.
Those were the heady days of Brian Bedford, Clive Clarke, Mark Lazarus, Peter Angell in hoops.
Let's hope it's as much fun with Ollie as it was then.

Listened to that whilst working this morning. The fellas got some good taste. Particularly liked being reminded of Joy Division's Ice Age

Brilliant me old mucker.
Ashamed to admit i didnt know That Roxy Music track he played 'If There is Something'
utter shite for the first 1min39 seconds Then my head came apart.Ferry Sounds like a deranged stalker going on about nailing roses to a door of this women he loves and 'growing potatoes by the score '
Reading some reviews last night.Sounds Promising. Im on a strict diet of charcoal tablets ,milk thistle and high doses of vitamin b complex to keep me functional until i can see it next friday.
The original's a cracking book and an even better film. Both masterpeieces.
I lived in Edinburgh when he was writing that and it's so accurate in the places, pubs, characters and banter it's almost painful. I used to work with a Begbie.
The stage play was amazing (saw it in the Bush in 94 IIRC)
The film was OK but (to me at least) a bit silly in places.
I've read every single book since and Skag Boys was a massive return of form if you're into the first book.
