Does any ody have any idea what's happening with regards to a new assistant manager and goalkeeping coach? Les said they were talking to a couple (GK coaches) a week or so ago.
Are we even getting an assistant manager?
I'd hazard a guess at Gerry Francis or Dennis Wise with Tony Roberts as GK coach, a position he currently holds at Arsenal?

Do most on here personally know each other?

My Peter

are you aware that there is a difference between your personal opinion and
a. Fact
b. Widely held opinion ?

Your increasing vehemence in restating your own opinion aggressively would appear to indicate otherwise.

If people stopped replying on my posts I'd stop replying to them.

I find myself having to defend myself rather than my arguments increasingly on here and I'm not one to get personal. Seems insecure.

It's kind of boring me now. I'll come back when something new happens.

Well, seeing as the troll has left the building for a short while...where were we?

Would like to see Francis come in, but things seem to have gone a bit quiet there. His knowledge would be very valuable.

I agree Brian, but do you think that GF would return to QPR?

He clearly knows Les and presume he has some positive feelings for the club still, but I wonder what the sell to him to come back might be?

Never knowingly understood

I guess back at his true love, but same job as he does with Pulis. Shorter commute!

Bare bones.

It's his profession, and Rangers are (despite what we say in our bleaker moments) a good club. I think the chance to work with Les, Ramsey and Gallen would appeal to a man who would surely know that his word would be heeded and respected.

I think there would be considerable appeal to this move for Francis, even if we strip away the emotional pull.

It's been reported that the commute is more than he would like and it would be a good move for all parties. New managers often have an older head, who maybe isn't interested in the pressure of being a top man somewhere, unless it was a great opportunity.
It is interesting, though, that West Brom are seemingly after Phillips, Austin AND Caulker, while Gerry is there.
Do we even need an assistant manager? It seems that Les is practically the manager and Chris, head coach anyway. Another good coach and a goalkeeper coach may be enough?

I think GF would be a coach rather than assistant. Think for Pulis he does 2 days a week drilling the defence, and sits on the bench at matches.

Bare bones.

I don't think Gerry followed Pulis to West Brom after they left Palace, did he?
