I could understand if he had a boring office job and getting paid that and didn't wanna change. Have I missed something, shouldn't a footballer wanna play football. Crowd cheering you and being part of something. Not just train for 2 hours, have a laugh and go home. Football just ain't what it used to be, it really is a pile of s*** now.

SWP you disgraceful LITTLE man on 09:30 - Feb 3 with 3026 views | AgedR | The SWP case is characteristic of what Rangers has become. How ridiculous must his contract be? His agent should win the Pulitzer Prize. Can't really blame the bloke. Short career, short earning opportunity, short legs. Why should he be QPRs philanthropist?

Yes, for his contract. But the little fúcking midget chose all by himself not to go out on loan numerous times. Charlton would have paid a percentage of his contract with us picking up the rest (no doubt the heftier portion). But the little chancer knows how abjectly shit he is and doesn't wanna ruin his chances of getting another last pay day by any potential future employers seeing how insipidly awful he now is by him actually turning out on a pitch. Anyone who saw any of pre-season will have had more than enough evidence of this. Fúck off Shite-Phillips, and don't let the door knock you out of your high-chair on the way out.

SWP you disgraceful LITTLE man on 09:51 - Feb 3 with 2888 views | Lblock | But the point is that even if he moved on loan he would NOT be worse off in terms of wages Say he went to Brighton who wanted to pay £5k a week. Great. Saves us £5k a week but the £55k we'd have to make up --- but at least it saves us £5k a week He doesn't want to leave as he has ZERO interest in playing football. His primary concern is his PR company and he spends matchdays "hosting" people in his box which he has rented for the season. It's a personal disgrace for him

Both you and Redknapp are forgetting/ignoring the fact that if SWP does move on loan, his 60kp/w will not be affected. It's a loan move, which means his wages are still paid in full while he plays elsewhere, either by us alone or by a combination of us and his loan team. So if he's rejecting loan moves it's because he doesn't actually want to play football, which puts all this 'always makes himself available' chat into the category of bollocks.

Agreed. I suspect that if he was loaned we would be refusing to pay any of his wages. On that basis, even 5 months is likely to cost him over £1m.

Shaun doesn't want to rough it in the Championship, he wants to play the odd Premier League game and take it easy, his contract is running out in the summer.
SWP you disgraceful LITTLE man on 10:05 - Feb 3 with 2764 views | nadera78 | If he goes elsewhere and plays sh#t then he will find it difficult getting a club in the summer, but if he stays with us someone will be stupid enough to lay the blame at our door and sign him. Not his fault, can't really blame him… blame the man who authorised such a ridiculous contract! IF he's training well, put your arm around him, tell him he's got a fresh start and he's playing for his future (Whether its for us or another team!). Then throw him in, couldn't do any worse than Hoillett, Phillips or Mutch!

errr, that's not how it works. Read previous posts. He still gets paid. Whether it's 100% QPR, 100% the loan club or both club sharing anywhere between 99%/1% or 1%/99%. So it's no odds to him how the clubs dish that out. If a club, for example, agreed to pay £5k a week and we stumped up the rest then why didn't he go? Yes, it's our fault for dishing out such a stupid contract but he's had offers to play elsewhere and turned them down. So much for 'wanting to play'. Charlton is a good club with a good ground, it's not Brunton Park, but obviously not good enough for a player who thinks he's better than he is yet got the turn around by League 2 players this season. He isn't indicative of what QPR has become, he's indicative of what football has become. [Post edited 3 Feb 2015 10:19]

Too late for all of that, he has played for Chelsea and Man City. He'll use that to get a club in the States. We just need to stay away from this type of player.

errr, the terms of the loan in respect of payment of wages is up to the parent club to agree. They can choose to make up any shortfall, or they can refuse, in which case the player is unlikely to go.

| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot

SWP you disgraceful LITTLE man on 10:36 - Feb 3 with 2571 views | CHUBBS | An embarrassing little c@nt who has no self respect what so ever. Yes TF gave him a contract for 10 times what he's worth but any real man would be doing all they could to contribute, failing that they'd be on their bike trying to justify their ridiculous wage elsewhere. As a club we'd have been better off if T@C had stayed, well we wouldn't find ourselves in financial meltdown anyhow.

But what if the clubs agreed the package and the player himself refused to go? edit: Just a couple of minutes of googling produced these quotes; "Blackburn, Bolton and Charlton are all understood to have been interested in signing the 33-year-old — only for the midfielder to turn down the chance to leave QPR." "Out-of-favour QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has snubbed a possible move to Charlton." "Charlton were believed to be interested on deadline day, and a loan move could still go through if he Wright-Phillips agrees to lower his wage demands, or QPR agree to pay a percentage of them." - surely taking a drop from £60k to, say £30k, a week for a few months is not going to impoverish him? In all of them, HE turned down the chance to move and play regular football. All the clubs mentioned are good clubs with good grounds. He's not being asked to play on Hackney Marshes.
