The Karl Oyston List of Shame 14:50 - Nov 12 with 18836 viewsOrioltwins

I'm wondering if we can list all his footballing misdemeanours (so keep it to football and one suggestion per post). If we can get to 100 I'll donate £100 to Children in Need on Friday!

1. The utter disgrace that he sacked Steve Thompson

No: whatever. Still no training ground. Nor improvement to the old one.

70 Stating a decline 'hurt him more than the fans'
71 Sniggering with Glenn at a SISA meeting
72 Calling the fans a 'mob'
73 Endlessly declaring what he is NOT going to do rather than positive action
74 Stating the Prem money was not to support the 'lavish lifestyles' of players then quadrupling his own pay.
75 Stating the 11m wasn't a payment to his dad then saying it was.
76 Sucking all enthusiasm out a great number of fans
77 Letting the name of BFC be dragged through the mud through constant failings.

78 Reneging on the promise that the Prem money would 'change the club forever'

Today Clarke talks about letting players go on loan so we have 'the finance' to bring players in.

79 Refusing to contribute to the big BFC flag
80 Not putting the club emblem on the stadium but letting the fans pay for it
81 Deliberately winding up fans on fans forums over many years
82 Banning fans for simply holding up a banner
83 Having no loyalty to the team that got us to the Prem
84 Sacking by text
85 Offering established players like Gilks big pay cuts by text.

86 Ensuring Prem players to steer clear from any loan to BFC after KO referred to them kindly as 'flotsam and jetsom'
87 Making picking a team shirt with any player name on it a VERY short-term expenditure.
88 Making supporting any manger a VERY short-term experience
89 Making fans identify with players near impossible
90 Ordering away fans to be searched for offensive banners
91 Using heavy handed tactics to quash dissent.

99. Failing to land ANY of the "flotsam and jetsam" players he was sure that Prem managers were keen to allow Blackpool FC to develop. He just doesn't understand the contempt and ridicule the rest of the football world holds for him.

Edit to add: The post bringing up the 100 better be a good toe-curling badge of Koko shame...

Lets give to ton to a neutral observer

100 - Ex-Liverpool chief executive Christian Purslow said that ‘Blackpool are the only club in the history of the Premier League who didn’t give their manager a chance or spend anything. They just trousered the money and said “sod it we’ll just go straight back down”.

Being part of a FL board which named Massimo Cellino as "fit and unproper".

I think you mean 'unfit and improper'. But I get what you mean.

The League says Cellino has breached its "fit and proper" ownership test.
... for tax evasion !

That's not the full story though. According to the BBC...

Cellino was fined £502,000 (600,000 euros) in March this year after being found guilty of failing to pay import duty on his yacht. Cellino is entitled to return to the club from 18 March 2015 and can appeal against the League's ruling. He will be able to resume control at Elland Road at that time because his conviction will be deemed spent.

So Koko and his FL cronies give him a slap on the wrist that lasts less than 4 months. So in December he is NOT a fit and proper owner and yet a few months later his character has been entirely reformed and rehabilitated.

His crime pales into insignificance compared with the diversion of £££ tens of millions out of our club into various shadowy enterprises, except the FL does not regard the latter as a crime. That's perfectly allowable. Laughable self-governance.

I'll talk to anyone TAM.

That's a TT position though not necessarily a BSA one.

If it looked like dialogue could lead to a solution to this mess I wouldn't rule it out in the long term but the issues are now so huge it doesn't look likely or possible, and in any case he needs to talk to BST and TK rather than BSA.

The ideal solution would be a change of ownership but if that doesn't happen what then?

I look forward to the day when we can all put football first.

Genuine answer.
