Although he does. Ash must hate playing next to him - he spends half the match watching Chico's arse disappearing up the pitch. Push up tight to players dropping into the hole by all accounts, but I can't believe he's had instructions to track them back to the halfway line.
But generally I've been unimpressed by what Jamie Redknapp has to say. We don't pass for the sake of it. We pass backwards because the players aren't providing options for a forward pass. Movement this season has been all but absent at times. So of course the ball goes backwards if you've been drilled to keep possession (which all of our longer-serving players have). Cause and effect innit. |  | | |
